Have you ever played Atari or Nintendo chess? Most people can't do that they were aiming for realism and once again got it right there...like NES bowling, they were designed to challenge people who actually did these things, not pamper to spoiled children back then.

I could almost bet I would lose at atari chess myself and i'm half decent at chess.

Surely, as you know by now the paid Steam Quests issues (House Flipper giving 245 ARP instead of 25 ARP) has been fixed and the extra 220 ARP will be removed. People who got them with their extra Artifacts Bonus ARPs will keep them.

I did play games back then though, and can confirm that no pampering was involved. The first few levels were easy, and then you were supposed to spend months mastering the rest of the game until you got your money's worth.

I can't say you missed out on chess...I'm actually quite good at RL bowling and I completely blame Nintendo 100%

Oh I had no doubt you've played games from that era, and no doubt you were aware of this fact.

My father had all the sport type titles and stuff so we could play with each other and he had a prayer (or at least had fun)...that probably didn't last very long considering I mastered and became a monster at every video game they put in front of me at that age. Wish I still had that kind of patience and skill for todays games.

Chess was likely one of the few exceptions...I was still a kid after all.

Yeah, the ARP was too good, to bother with the Artifacts if all went well. Unfortunately, it was always most likely they were gonna remove the extra ARP.
