Quick update! The new save format is working as expected, I'm now replacing the old save parts with the new one. This will require some time to test, especially to make sure it won't break multiplayer games. I'm expecting to release this early next week, let's cross fingers.

Decided to try again to see if the bug was fixed but before I even go into the game, I already notice something is wrong, The username shown on the screen is not even mine.202

This is definitely not ok. I'll report the issue to the backend team as soon as possible.

EDIT: a bit of insight on this, it's not happening to everyone but only to some specific profiles, this is not a global issue. We're investigating further.

EDIT2: @ap10 and @miharkula, actually that looks like your original IndieGala username (if you recall, the site gives you a random one first time you register). Seems like you connected a Steam profile without changing the original name- this makes your IndieGala profile show the Steam name, but Feudalife is still reading the previous, randomly generated one.
We're going to fix this (Feudalife will read the Steam name if available) but as we found so far your are still logging with your original account.

Unlinked steam account, updated username (strangest "random" username I had ever seen), logged off then back on, relinked steam account. Seems ok so far. I have to start the game over though due to the bug that caused the town NPCs to appear on the farm but that should not take all that long.

A very similar issue to the one that I had on Nov 13 (https://forums.indiegala.com/threads/official-feudalife-main-game-feedback-thread.94/post-11848) happened again. Last time, I learned the blueprint, found the house in the menu, but had to retrieve some missing materials. When I had gathered them, the option to build the house was gone.

Today, it was even worse: I grinded on one wilderness map for some time, and when I had found enough forage, I sought out the blueprint merchant, sold my accumulated goods, chose the blueprint for my future home, bought it and immediately devoured it. Leaving no trace of it whatsoever. After right-clicking, the blueprint was gone, there was still no option to build a house - and I was 36.000 Gold poorer for it.
I tried another (cheaper) blueprint just to double-check. Same result. And double-checked once more. Same result again.

This is still an issue related to save data not working properly. We haven't updated the game yet with the new save system so even though I know these bugs are extremely annoying, I expect them to happen with the version currently online.
I'm working on it- it's just that I prefer to directly deliver the new system instead of trying to fix the old one each and every day (and consequentially, delay the production of the new one). I should have released the new system earlier this week but it's taking a bit more time than I expected; progress is going well though.

I did hesitate for a brief moment when I had gathered the funds, but eventually thought to myself, "what are the odds of the same issue occuring twice?". Guess, I should have listened to my gut.

Anyways, thank you for your answer. However, that raises two more questions:
1) since my save state is probably broken, what are the odds that it'll stay broken in the new system?
2) will my Feudalife Gold be carried over to the new system, or should players start a new game anyhow?
progress is going well though
I'm looking forward to it. :)

Legit questions. The reply to both is that I'd like to salvage as much as possible from current save states, be it farm progress, items, gold, unlockables, etc. The current save system is kinda like a closed box and it's not easy to detect where things failed, and this may cause both good and corrupted data to carry over the new save system.
In short, there's a good chance you need to start over, but I might be able to recover parts of the old saves.

I just report about some issues:
- The Feudalife game may freeze (with 100% CPU usage), if right mouse click on empty field with bare hands (no tool). This may require to close browser's tab or restart a browser on client side.

Edit: Looks like, this may happen if select Hoe tool first, then select and use bare hands (no tool) on an empty field.

- I reported about some situation in my other message, which somehow cleared player's farm, removed tools, house, crops, etc. Maybe this also was related to "Use Steam avatar and Steam username" check and "Sync user data" button on my Indiegala's profile, after which I tried to open Feudalife challenge and saw different nickname on first game's screen:

As result, the game is playable. I gathered new resources and rebuilt player's farm. But there is no Farmboard, although all available quests were completed before incident.

Is it possible to check completion of required quest(s) and restore Farmboard in player's farm, if it's not available?

- Some market prices are not very balanced, in my opinion. Not saying about price of the House Blueprint. For example, the price of Base Potion is the same as other Life/Stamina/Defence/Speed/Strength potions (440 c., currently) from Potions Merchant. On the other hand, there is a need to buy/learn some potion scroll, buy Base Potion, gather some resources to create some complete potion. There is maybe not much point to buy Base Potion from Potions Merchant (or create a complete potion), if possible to buy some complete potion for the same price. Perhaps this was done in such a way to show the currently available potions (and their prices).

Thanks Indiegala's developers for this game.

Should we still report every bug that we encounter, even before your new version goes live?

Something extremely strange happened at the market, and I think I found an exploit: it all began with the intention of selling my 92 apples in my inventory. When I started, i had 34.526 Gold in my purse, but when I'd sold my apples, my balance read 48.782 Gold. I gained 14.256 Gold from just 92 apples!

Here's what happened: when I sold my batch of 92 apples, I earned the money for them, but kept 91 of the apples. This exact thing happened again at 91, 90 and 89 apples, so that I ended with a balance of 41.042 Gold after those sales. But I still got 88 of those apples in my inventory. And this is where things got really strange: I sold these too - and suddenly was another 7.740 Gold richer for it.

I also saw this once for some version in December, but didn't reproduce. Last time I tried to sell apples, olives (and olive oil), red beans, etc. and they were sold ok in the market. Maybe this depends on some items count or server side "features" on the market, where possible to meet other player(s).

Yes, keep reporting everything here please.

a Major update ( concerning mostly save data and system programming ) is in the works but we'll address all other issues once this update is live.

Thanks for reporting! Most of these stuff is not related to save issues, good find. The Base Potion shouldn't cost this much indeed, that's pretty much a mistake on my side. :)
I'll try to sneak in fixes for this stuff in the next big update.

Hi again, more updates for the new save system right before Christmas holidays. I experienced some data loss two days ago; it was extremely contained but that caused a general slowdown due to a number of inconsistencies left in the code by the issue. Things are back to normal now- I was working on getting the v2 save system to function properly with online play but since it needs some extensive testing, I'm inclined to temporarily close multiplayer to favor getting the new update online as soon as possible.
Anyways due to the holidays it still will be ready on January, I guess (which is a few days ahead). Catch you soon!

I opened the backpack and pulled the red beans (seeds) out while the toolbar was full and I could not put it anywhere and I lost it. How do I get seeds to plant now? Also I dropped the bonfire and it vanished. Also I cannot figure out how to place a tent. Looking good for a free game so far though.

I'm not entirely sure how to get new building/crafting recipes, but according to how i get the first tools (collecting ressources and they unlocked as soon as I had enough to build them), I think there's a bug... I have enought ressources for a few things but I can't build anything else than the first 3 tools (axe, pickaxe, sickle). Also my energy and health are ... 0 ? at least close. No idea how i can progress or do anything else than keep choping wood/stone/grass... :(
