I would recommend posting in the comment thread that the giveaway will give 0 experience in the future.

Out of a sense of fairness. If I ignore some questionable giveaways, but continue to report others, then my reputation of being an unbiased 3-rd party can be thrown into question.

However, now knowing the info in the first quote, this is a situation where I'm in the wrong.

While this is true, I usually will only report a giveaway if its both free on Steam and has no card drops, since there's no real utility being given to the recipient of the giveaway.

As stated above, the problem is on my end. I didn't do my due diligence to give you the benefit of the doubt that you rightfully deserved in this case.
