Again: you can put something in the cart, proceed to payment, and cancel the purchase at that moment, and receive an offer in the mail to try to pay again with that discount applied for the next 72 hours.
Or just wait for the next sale, of course, but who is looking for easy ways?
You can also use this at some shops for instant coupons before purchase, leave items in your cart and close the page and some will mail you a coupon for purchase, fanatical used to do it IIRC before they tried bribing you into buying things every 30 days or having your coupons go invalid...between that stunt, new tax added in the last year, and them hiking bundle prices--I barely even shop there anymore.

Running off mobile hotspot now...have been for a few months.

I have unlimited data on mobile, but not when connected to my PC. I was actually tempted to try your Steam app just as a downloader
That's weird. Here my unlimited mobile data stays unlimited - no matter if I use it on the phone or by using my phone as the hotspot.

Ya its a Europe thing...I realized most people in EU use their phone instead of a dedicated internet service, which is likely why they don't allow it here 💸

I can't even pay for unlimited tethering, I tried just recently and they don't have any plan that allows it.

you can always add an extra item to the cart?
I'm going to go out on a limb here and say its just not something they're going to do...set in they're ways just like I am about certain social sites and GAs, they would probably require a CC to use this tactic and simply refuse to ever add one 🤷‍♂️

As much as it makes you want to...

I can sadly say I get it

You can just select another payment method, you don't 'need' to use your wallet funds at all...I avoid it myself to keep a few bucks there sometimes.
