Math is hard?
Math was irrelevant, good luck trying to program if you can't do math. The only career I know of thats even close in a mathematical sense is plumbing...maybe being a space engineer for NASA.

14367

divide every number by 2 and collect the remainders, then reverse them and it becomes binary... you can turn it back into decimal by multiplying the position of the binary decimal by the value to power.

It also works for octodecimal which is a base-8 numerical system in the second explanation, the division trick only works for switching to binary and I forget the quick method for octal off hand because its rarely used anymore after the DOS days.

Just like octal, it wasnt important to me at the time so I didn't bother to figure it out. Decimal I've known for ages and actually wrote words in binary based on Ascii digits by hand for a tatoo I have on my arm when I was like 17.

...or yoo know, you can just whip up a calculator app these days and skip using your brain entirely...seems to be the way of the world these days.

You do still need to understand what you're doing with a calculator, even an app. Some things are best left to calculators. Doing them manually takes longer, and risks mistakes.

Simple math should be one of the easiest things for AI to handle. It has clear rules, and an order of operations. Generative AI still gets it wrong.

In terms of percentages though, calculating sales tax, or tips, should be common everyday use. Obviously a discount is in reverse, but it's the same general idea. I'm not sure why something being 15% different is surprising when it turns out to be 15% different.

One interesting thing about skipping your brain is navigation. A lot of people relying on GPS have no sense of direction. It also has an impact on brain development.

A very sad Steam sale, actually (it's not, if you still don't have Doom Eternal, Control or Rise of the Tomb Raider), but sad or not, I still need to start figuring out where it all *really* started.
It's very strange for me why Brotherhood is selling for more than Revelations which released later, but I'll figure that out next time, probably.

You actually have prizes available?!

Here are my options... It's like this 99% of the time. Great rewards program. 😆

View attachment 23893
I love these moments in this forum thread when I blinked and missed three pages...
Yes, we have all possible positions in the prize list available, mostly these are some physical prizes and they are always available, even some games are so useless that they in stock for six months or more. For example, the last time I looked, there were 9 keys available for the game Murky Divers three months ago, now there are 6 left. (when they gave out Stalker 2, it, of course, didn't last a week).
Unfortunately, getting points without registering products is a very slow and painful process, so maybe there are not many of us in the region who want to do it.

AWA Arena Breakout: Infinite Daily Log in Rewards: Claim your Reward for Day 5, 25 ARP
https://na.alienwarearena.com/

Equip the Daily Time on Site ARP increase Artifact (Ba`li Arches), and Claim the Reward for maximum ARP(y), depending on the upgrade (+1/2/3/4/6 ARP). It will be shown in the ARP Log.
If those two sentences are related, the artifact that increases the login reward is the Chai Stone H`erkow Display, the same one that increases regular daily login rewards.

Revelations cost more here so idk, on the Physical edition it came with the first game you just bought IIRC offhand. Which enjoy btw, that game is like the Mega-Man of all creed games so its right up your alley...your running fron point to point habits will die instantly (probably along with you lol) during the first mission...its entirely different than every other game in the series but its still good...just takes more patience. Creed 2 is the defining game in the series and where it really did all start, probably my personal favorite aside from some missing combat mechanics it seriously could have used becaise its brutal and a few clunky map actions it was probably the best medium of challegenging gameplay combined with minimal hand holding in the series.

I insist on carrying cash when I tip amd I dont go out much, so peecentages are not an everyday use for me actually.

I know that 15% of nothing is still nothing, always tip the people who carry you or food across the city good if you want to eat clean food and you tip for every beer. I don't enjoy fancy restaurants even if I had money so 🤷‍♂️

I mean its just multiplication/division so done in ten or five is quick for me but I simply didnt bother to even consider the math because its ARP and even poor I don't really care...plus I didnt have much interest in the higher cost games either.

I was searching Dragonstrike gameplay that is free with prime gaming now, but I stumbled instead on Dragonstrike board vhs video and I enjoyed, I like that style with real actors and drawn background and early 90s 3d animation:D
LoL the FB1 warning
I'm loving Amazon giving away all the Dragonlance games, I still have a box full of the paperback books here...probably half of the entire set.

The video is something I never knew they made, and old D&D quest on tape, thats funny as hell.

Cool, I remember when I was kid I wanted so bad Heroes Of The Dragon lance but I couldn't because I hadn't Amiga or Pc. I had Nes and I was reading rn on wiki it's considered as 2nd worst Nes game ever  I played it very later with emulator but I don't remember it was that great as I guessed.
Vhs board games were cool back in time, it was something new, I had Atmosfear and Star Trek game.

I never knew about the NES game or the series back then so I've never played it but I came across it online and realized exactly what you said--it looked terrible so I didnt even bother.

I was fortunate enough to come across Dragon Warrior and some other RPG games on NES, which ironically I didn't even know became Dragon Quest until AFTER I bought the Dragon Quest XI remake on Steam, as soon as I got into my first battle the music was like an old friend and the enemies were familiar...I was so pissed that I never caught the name change and missed the entire series

Now we have D&D games as story plots in other video games lmao. I never knew they made those to give you a 'master' back then. It wasn't really my style as a kid so I didn't miss much, but its interesting
