I follow both these games and the companies that make them...how did this not hit my radar?

This game just went through the top of my wishlist and broke the wichter scale.
It was a Japanese exclusive that wasn't even found among fans who wanted to translate it after the release, the full translation patch was only released in 2021.

Sometimes it seems to me that the publisher buys up these translations later, because 4 years ago The Legend of Nayuta (Nayuta no Kiseki, a Trails spin-off), a former PSP exclusive, was released on Steam, which was also translated by fans a few years before that (for PSP).

Yeah I caught this one long ago ..also on the wishlist, but not really that great looking IMO, but I havent played it obviously since I sold my jailbroken PSP long ago (well traded it--for a laptop lol)

Trails, Ys, JRPG. Equals must buy and try.

Nayuta no Kiseki is more of a 2.5D platformer with RPG elements. It has its own interesting aspects, for example, you always return to old locations, but you can change the season and the levels look different, but in the best traditions of Falcom there are incredibly long and boring dialogues, which somewhere in the middle of the game are simply impossible to read. Fans at one time did an incredible job translating all that.

I'm seriously confused if this crossover is a battle based game or an RPG. If its just battles between the whole like 6 Ys characters from the time...with no actual RPG mechanics Its no wonder this one got skipped.

Meh its a fighting game...bottom of the wishlist again lol.

Transparency testing for custom renders.

I was considering full blown transparent animations with shadows for menu's in the gallery, but I just don't have the time to plan, render, and finish all the code right now considering how picky I am lol.

That render just happened to be made transparent already with a similar intention...but I didn't know how to catch the shadow then so it never got used.

Hey v, now that you've seen ivo's intention for a story recap...do character bio's still have any appeal?

I'm making general ones for the main LI's with measurements and a small section regardless in the gallery...but originally ivo wanted to do one for all the characters.

It's really no issue for me to set it up (one of the easy tasks), but somehow with the story recap it feels unnecessary to give everyone down to the fishmonger a bio page

Since it was your suggestion I figured I'd ask for your input on it again now that you've played a version with a recap.

I'm looking for some intriguing WW1 or WW2 games, and I discovered these two options:

There may be some I didn't add because I already have them on my wishlist, but it looks like there are not many World War games coming up and nothing interesting for Grand Strategy apart from EU5/HOI4 DLC. Do you have any favorite World War games? ( even better if it's old and I never heard of it, as long as it is not multiplayer only )

since the second game came up in the conversation, there was some confusion...
The Legend of Nayuta is a spin-off of Trails and a platformer with RPG elements.
Ys vs. Trails in the Sky: Alternative Saga is a crossover, and it's actually Super Smash Bros in the Falcom universe(s).

I think that with the recap it became much easier to start the game after a long break.
But if there was such a character card with ( at least a minimal) description in the game - it would be good, there are actually quite a lot of characters now.
