Won Steam Key, But Can't Redeem (Invalid)

Hi all,
I won a Steam key, but Steam keeps telling me "The product code you've entered is not valid or is not a product code. Please double check to see if you've mistyped your key. I, L, and 1 can look alike, as can V and Y, and 0 and O. If you are redeeming a gift card please click here to redeem it." when I try to redeem it.



Has anyone else encountered this problem before? What could be causing this, and what steps can I take to resolve it?

What could be causing this

The first thing you should do is make sure you're cutting and pasting the exact key, not typing it yourself, and paste as plain text, no special characters like bold or color that might be invisible.

Assuming you have used the right key, and that this is such an unusual situation, you can try contacting support through Discord or email. They don't replace used keys from challenges, but if it really is an invalid key, they might take that into account and replace it.

I'm using copying and pasting. Also checking the characters are same when I redeem them..
I got the key from feudalife challenges... I will contact them with mails. Thanks.

Update: After contacting support through email, they sent me another new key.
Hope this experience can help others.
