I finally got a chance to play Trails in the Sky First Chapter far enough to reach battle and I gotta say...

Its not really THAT bad, especially for new players...they added real time battle as an option--the problem is its the default option, so map actions, first strikes etc. are all fucked up--a core strategy in the game and one that's made more obnoxious by enemies seeming to stand dead still half the time on the map.

If theres a way to revert that to the old style I havent found it...and all the rest of the brutal factors in the game are still there which just adds to the pain. They did better than Ff7R in the sense of leaving the classic style but almost worse in a sense that its not the default system. Maybe it'll get a patch to make this optional...for now I'll hold my breath on wanting to go further than the demo allows, which seems to be pretty damn far since I haven't reached it yet.

The retractable urinal seems like a bad idea. It is there at night, presumably so drunks don't piss everywhere, which I assume they still do. Then goes down to ground level to sit flush (toilet joke) during the day. It rusted, and the guy was there to repair it when it crushed him. His GF is trying to sue and get money out of it. The company are blaming him, to avoid paying. I blame whoever thought these things were a good idea in the first place.
