Watchmen: The End Is Nigh

I've never seen the Watchmen before, not sure where it even hails from except its a wonky joke about superheroes in general I've always wanted to try...well, it fell right into that category starting me off with a batman wannabe in an Arkham Asylum type prison from the start of the game...my controller wasnt supported but worked nonetheless--so I may have been missong certain controls in my quick run, with only two buttons (hard and light punch respectively) and a dodge I didnt really use working for me in part 1, but the bandage faced hero himself is a depressing crack up that made the game worth playing...even if I think I'd have preferred the batman clone to battle with. Part 1 and Part 2 are only around a GB in size, but actually have decent graphics for gameplay which switches to old school comic style for the story scenes (this I enjoyed), maybe saving in size that way...because it can't be a very long game at 1GB if it doesnt.

Idk...today was just for basic test runs. This gets my seal of approval...worth playing further for sure.
Truly brilliant among poorly made games.
Simply top-notch: lazy, clunky, short (that's a plus). It takes skill to create such a poorly licensed project and charge money for it. I applaud their courage. The publisher should be paying people to play this, not the other way around. There are few enemies, few attacks, there are some good finishing moves, but they are long and just a waste of time.
The best thing about this story is that there is a second part.
So few people can, actually, but these people exist! Just imagine, you have a frankly bad first game, you take it, make one correction (now the x360 gamepad is recognized normally, not the broken version that was in the first game), and then methodically and systematically make everything else worse than it was!
The first gam is six fairly short levels based on the principle of "always run forward, from time to time 3-5 enemies come at you, of two different types - one easier, one more difficult - you beat them, so 5 times, the end of the level. Now there are only 3 levels, but the formula has changed a bit, they throw about a dozen enemies at you every couple of steps, more difficult enemies (fat ones) have been given about three times more health, and now it's a very boring one-button click fights.
And if the first two levels simply exists, well, 5-10 minutes longer than in the first part, not a big deal, but the third level is some kind of hell of boredom and sadness - the level seems infinitely long, littered with boring fat enemies that takes a third of your HP per hit, and every step, literally every step, several new enemies run out of somewhere. It's as boring, stupid and maddening as possible. To dilute (according to the developers) this process of boring beating fat men, they decided to add sadomasochistic prostitutes as enemies to the level, because the level is about how the main characters decided to defeat prostitution in the city literally in a fist fight, destroying everyone they could get their hands on. And you beat them with your fists, kick them off their feet, knock out their teeth, break their bones, and it's kind of fun (no). Well, basically, they put all their creative energy into the physics of the breasts, they didn't have enough for everything else. The fat men's bellies are shaking to using that game feature, but that's not what you'd want to see. (I hope).
Oh, yeah, whatever the plot of the first game was, the second one doesn't care about that, and it tells a completely different story. It seems like they were going to release it as a series, but fortunately they quickly cancelled everything.
This is a standard bad sequel to a standard bad game, it's definitely not worth even the few cents, but if it somehow ended up in your library - try it, really, it's not often that a game made so poorly makes it to the release date, and here they've got two of them!

The Watchmen is an iconic graphic novel. The bandaged hero isn't really bandaged. I suppose it's a Rorschach, but I didn't play the game. I think only an in-depth RPG would be able to show what The Watchmen are about truly.

This is one of the iconic Rorschach scenes when he's not masked:

It's Alan Moore's graphic novel, brilliant, but eccentric author - I guess all the great authors are eccentric. Almost all of his graphic novels had good movie adaptations, but he wasn't happy with any of them - The Watchmen, From Hell, V For Vendetta...
Yes, the main characters of the game are Nite Owl and Rorschach, you can play as anyone.

All other things aside, my P3 'Repurchase' went over smooth so I have my holiday game (and the OP persona that should have come with it now)

I have already decimated the old school version after all, I just want to see the new story, not grind for decades.

Raidou which I didnt even care for as turn based also got my attention...I'll have to give that a better try. I quit all my testing when I realized my P3 dillemna for another time. I still have a Trails and Octopath demo to go through once I re-activate P3.

Technically it's a prequel to the movie/comic, but in fact there's no plot at all, just random stories that can be used for any characters.
And watch the movie, no matter how much the author whines about the film adaptation, it's a pretty good film adaptation and a good story.

The one scene already sold me on the movie regardless what anyone said...and I didnt even watch it here the first time.

I'm busy making smut 😅 and then ivo asked me to do a holiday render so thats next on the list before getting back to those games and then the other features on our game. I've been procrastinating too long on the bio section as it is and I have a bonus mode to add to our mini game...hopefully all before the next release.

I'm evidently a (self proclaimed) daz animation porno whiz with zero skill or patience for static renders

I try to make story scenes--it ends up all animated 🤷‍♂️

I tend to wait and get the Definitive Ultimate Complete Premium bundle myself!
Yeah usually so do I, but atlas doesnt really do those either and I really wanted the game...unusual for me these days to want a game i've already beat and hate for a demo to end. Money well spent now that I have the edition with everything and the expansion pass for any other excluded DLC. Basically the same thing and cost me about $45 still less than the base game so 🤷‍♂️

I dont buy any game full price anymore...its more taboo than my porn :ROFLMAO: but this one deserved it and they never overcharge either. One of the few remaining companies that even if they do they put sales up almost instantly to make up for it.

The best part about P3 (aside from Episode Aegis) is they didnt add a bunch of new trash that ruined it...they just made it better, outright, even the new features just add to the originals...compared to some like Trails First Chapter that should have been a masterpiece and was destroyed by a new battle system ruining the old one. The demo didn't do that...its all improved, new graphics, new video, more ways to gruel through dungeons but not touching the original design in any way, only expanding upon it.

I think its one of the best remakes/remasters I've ever seen. Why change such a great game...rather than do that they added more to what was already great.
