Yeah, the dev removed it due to copyright, but that's not how it works. I’ll probably email Steam about this even if a game gets delisted, the art and trailer shouldn’t be removed. It makes it seem like it’s been sabotaged.

I think the issue here might be that the game itself was actually copyright infringement, or claimed to be by someone else...they have regulations that (for a hefty price) can even get slander removed from websites, its never truly gone since its the internet...but it can legally be enforced. If they imitated someone IRL including a friend who they're no longer friends with (imagine one of thr two MCs) it could become a legal issue...this is why I'm extremely careful or completely carefree about who I work with and what I would put on anything thats not entirely my own.

Like I made a character based off of my younger self for TSOW (can only be seen on Patreon atm--it was a thank you specifically to them so I never shared it anywhere else), its obviously not ME, but it has enough relation to my life to be borderline if I were ever to decide I wanted it removed.

I never would personally, the game means too much to me to ruin it over BS, even if me and ivo had a falling out (which I dont see happening)...but I'm just using it as an example of what 'might' have happened between two people who didn't care about the game itself and just wanted to hurt the other person they were working with...its more than possible its an actual legal issue and required by the dev

I mean, the IP is owned by Arc System Works, and I’m pretty sure those games didn’t just appear out of nowhere without their approval. It really shows how unprofessional they are at managing the IP. A lot of games have been delisted, including some with bigger IPs, but I’ve rarely seen one where the art, trailers, and even icons were completely removed. This feels more like sabotage than an honest move.

The developers of this game used to make good adventures like Secret Files (Tunguska, Puritas Cordis and some shitty third one) or Lost Horizon, it seems like they're not doing too well, since they made this newer game free, apparently they used to sell it for money. I'll support them as much as I can, I'll play it too!

- but damn, coding things in python for a two man team when one person doesn't like to code (or type in general lmfao) is like four times the effort. A simple dictionary store had to became a four level dictionary inside a class with crazy logic just to store dynamic values that change in the script and save/load properly.

Ren'py was not designed with team logic in mind, thats a fact.

Its more complicated in thought than it is to actually impliment, but of course I need to actually think about it...and everything that could potentially go wrong before I can really even write it. That part, especially when I can think of ten ways to do it, but want the simplest and still safe from breaking the game later version out of them...sucks. The curse of knowledge--and a lazy arteest

unless we want people reading the bio's from middle of the game to end and back to the start like a puzzle box
