I don't understand you very well, but.... I think you've misunderstood.
https://es-wikipedia-org.translate.goog/wiki/Separador_decimal?_x_tr_sl=es&_x_tr_tl=en&_x_tr_hl=es&_x_tr_pto=wapp/

In Spain the period and comma are reversed. The period is used to separate 3 units and the comma is used for decimals.
1.000.000.000,54 This is not a billion, there are three zeros missing and 54 cents too many.

A billion is a million million, for the whole planet except for the USA, , that is, billion = 10^12, (twelve zeros), which is why I prefer not to use it, to avoid mistakes.

What RTVE says is that (in the year 2025) they have spent €1220 million ($1450 million) of taxpayers' money in a TV that nobody wants to watch. And that they are proud of not having had to ask for a loan because they did not have enough money (you know who pays for it). Something they do most years.

I don't want to bore people with this, there are politicians (criminals) in every country who divide up the money they steal from you.
I just wanted to say that those Spanish games you mentioned have surely been well paid.

But you are not a friend of the criminals of the Spanish government. 🤣 They wouldn't hire you. 🤣
See that seems like your saying twelve hundred and twenty million (which is 1 billion two hundred and twenty million dollars)

where if you had said.

€1.22 million or $1,220,000,000 dollars it would have made sense (everywhere--we've adopted the standard mostly) but without any punctuation either a period or a comma it basically says that many million.

I don't blame them...I'd end up sneaking little hidden militia messages into the programs :ROFLMAO:

I may try to do whats right...but freedom (real freedom) is always right.
You're both right. In Spanish - and in most of the world - 1.000.000.000 is "mil miliones", Milliarde in German, milijarda in Croatian etc., but in English, that number is called "billion".

The point was he didnt add any zeroes the first time...or punctuation. That was the issue. Nothing else.

He jist said 1220 million which doesnt really say 1.220 million. I was trying to ensure he didnt do it as a translation thing but evidently the whole world is screwball.

Yes, exactly that. There's no translation problem, it's a lot of money.

That's what R.TV.E (Radio Television Española) say they've spent in 2025 (it's probably more). Not for that game obviously (besides, it's from 2017), but on all their expenses. I said that because they use that money to pay their pals (game developer in this case) and they're very generous.

I don't blame them...I'd end up sneaking little hidden militia messages into the programs :ROFLMAO:
They already do that 🤣

This is taking too long 🤣
Then thats over a billion 🤦‍♂️
Yes.

AI is stupid. The word “billion” should never be used that way when talking about euros, only with dollars, (even with dollars it's confusing). But yes, if you prefer to call it that, yes, it is 1.2 billion euros.

Really:
USA billion = 1,000,000,000
USA trillion = 1,000,000,000,000
World billion: 1.000.000.000.000

The link you posted said 1.22 MILLION so something is wrong here.
1.220
This is a text in Spanish, and the decimal separator is not a “dot” but a “comma.”
The dot is used simply to make it easier to read --> 1000=1.000

Every countries = 1000
"English" countries (blue) = 1,000 --------- Rest of the world (Green-Red) =1.000

https://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/Separador_decimal/
Although in Spain, for example, calculators and computer keyboards have a dot drawn for decimals.

1.2 million,,, these people of RTVE spend it on Doritos 🤣 well, no, better 😱😨😰😭🤮

It can only be viewed with a Spanish IP address or a VPN.

Thats backwards :ROFLMAO: USA uses twelve zeros for a billion (or did--not even sure these days since I've never had over 10 grand in my life lol)
