I have no idea. It sounded good when I thought of it. The forums and the store were super sluggish for me at the same time. Are they on different IPs?

The forums are a 3rd party "app", so to speak...they function entirely separate from the rest of the site. They're basically pre-made and purchased from Xenforo--which is why they'll never be fixed

It did sound good in theory, I almost agreed with you until that thought popped into my head.
