I've always enjoyed Souls-like games that try something different with their combat, and Thymesia definitely caught my attention.
You play as Corvus, a mysterious warrior exploring a kingdom devastated by a deadly plague. The world is filled with infected enemies, ruined streets, and disturbing creatures, giving everything a dark and unsettling atmosphere.
What I find most interesting is the combat system. Instead of relying on shields and heavy armor, Thymesia focuses on fast attacks, dodging, and perfectly timed deflections. You can also steal plague weapons from enemies and use them against their owners, which is a pretty cool idea.
I also like the game's plague doctor-inspired design. The dark environments and strange enemy designs give it a distinctive look, even among other Souls-like games.
It seems like the kind of game where mastering the combat is more important than simply finding better equipment.
Have you played Thymesia? How do you think its combat compares to Sekiro or other Souls-like games?
