So I just got scammed...

Hi, I'm relatively new here and would like to ask about an issue:
I was offering a trade for H1Z1 and i got an offer for Rocket League, an account with 0 rep. But I said hey peeople traded with me when I had 0 rep, so I checked his Steam profile and it seemed quite legit (Level 6, 89 games) so I accepted the key and got a duplicate...
Since I don't own H1Z1 (was trading because I don't like Early Acess games), I just activated my key because I'd rather keep a game I don't like than give it to a scammer.
So the thing is now he's eventually gonna see the trade and give me negative rep, is there any way to report this to avoid it ? Because my account is pretty new and if people see one negative vote I'm afraid nobody's gonna want to trade with me anymore.
Thanks.
PD: The account is: https://www.indiegala.com/trades/user/19bcc3c54eb611e6942b5b6cddc9bf89

Unfortunately there is not a lot you can do about it .. Technically you did give him a used key BUT More than likely he isn't going to give you bad rep. I would say though from now on only trade from what might look like more reputable traders but The trade section isn't really modded and was built specifically for guaranteed trades. So only can be helpful if that is what is traded. . Sorry I know isn't the answer you wanted .

Ok thanks, I learned the lesson then. He did give me bad rep but I hope as long as it's just the 1 it won't matter much...

Wow that's really shitty of them, well just look at their profile now - nobody else will trust them from now on. Hopefully your -1 will get buried and if anyone cares to look who it was from at least they can see the kind of person who left it.

As much as I would like to say that is true IF the guy has as much smarts as a grain of salt he will know how to change that. plus a lot of people look at what they want more than who is offering it. But everyone has been scammed. i lost over $200 worth of games in a trade Via steam .. When i contacted steam they replied with ' Not our fault or our problem"
