hello there, here's a copy of my thread wrongly posted on the Giveaway section (it was a trading scam) and can be used as a reference to report Scammer users here and others platforms as Steam. Thank you for all the good heart's gamers out there who take seriously our communities. GG

Hello there, just trade my Goat Simulator Key for a Garry's Mod key from the user YAKUMI, and the key seems to be invalid or wrongly written cause a can't reedem it. She or he is trading a lot of cautivating games so be carefull, i'll try to contact her anyway and seek to update this situation

Thanks

[UPDATE]

well here's an update the suspected user won't add me as a friend to resolve this situation so i decided to give a thumb down, just as i look my profile to notice that he or she gave me a thumb down even known i gave her a valid key wich i prove to be reedemed, by asking a friend to reedem it considering the situation, if anyone has powers for ban him/her. I ask for it.
Here' is his steam profile and IG profile

http://steamcommunity.com/id/Yakumi689/

https://www.indiegala.com/trades/user/d1030cdca04511e78869d7053ac43fcb

If anyone is logued at steam atm i ask you plz for a report.

[UPDATE]

So i reported the account as a "Trading item Scammer"
with the following description of the situation:

"The reported user seems to use this account as a fake profile to scam other users in trading games and probably others items, he had been reported in other game communities for the same same reason. i ask for a permament ban, of this account and email with the objetive for him/her to not being able to use the games and items he/she stole. And better if you catch a trace or other accounts he/use to activate these games badly earned.

At the moment i'm making this report he/she should probably reedemed the key i trade with him/her for the Goat Simulator game with following key [6XY4F-G4FWY-JBBTG] "

- i think this specific description of the scam could be taken as a serious and credible report for the valve team to take action on this or any other scamming situation.

Thanks

i hope this can help for other user to report scammers who take advantage of those goodheart's gamers.

Thank you for your attention.

OMG, i was talking about this profile with a friend... when it only had one bad and good rep (the good coming from an account created just for it ^^ check the creation date and the first and only offer made).
Now, 4 people got scammed...

Contact indie support, they are really good at banning people... But you should always check for suspicious profiles: no rep, private profiles, or people that don't answer you ;)
This one was quite obvious...

Yes, it was pretty obvious, i just take a short time to think because i wanted that game so bad, and it was just a few minutes to finish. I'll be more cautious and look better for profiles, thanks again i hope this person get the ban he deserves :) BB & GG

It happens... i was scammed too --' two times: one because i was new and did not pay attention to it, one because i was new and the guy had very good rep so gave him two keys even if i was sure that my first key was good. So now, i record everything.

Now i follow simple rules: when a profile sounds not right (private or few games or not online since 2 weeks, few rep from doubtful people, etc), i won't go first... i add them on steam, then they go first!

Regarding this scammer... he changed his steam name and created some new trades here (look around page 25 i think "johnwick"). People that have been scammed MUST report it to support via email. (i sent them one today in case he's still not banned).
I try to burn his profile by leaving him a neg rep on steamtrades: https://www.steamtrades.com/user/76561198425584288
i invite you the scammed ones to do the same.

It may be a good idea to report all these accounts to Steam support too, no?
Someone knows if Steam bans multiple accounts with scam intentions?

Maybe we could limit the possibility of trading to accounts that are linked to a steam account?

Right now it's way too easy just to create a new account to scam with.
Most of the scammers i run into borrow a profile picture and name from a random steam user to get a bit of credibility while also misdirecting the inevitable blame.
