Are there some limits to editing one's posts?

Is there some limit to how many times in row you can edit your comments? I made some typos in my last post and tried to fix them, but trying to edit the message doesn't do anything. The previous message is still present unchanged.

It happened to me more than once in past too, so I suppose that this is how it works here. Is it just this forum's functionality? Is there some reason for forbidding users to edit their own messages, if they made a typo or grammar mistakes and they want to fix it, if they won't fix it in first edit?

As I was unable to edit my message there, I decided to write it as a post, but looks like you neither can make edits, nor multiple posts in a row, to make up for inability of making editsjQuery1112023163664703332598_1513734216641? Or at least for some reason page don't accept my post.

So, I am writing this as a new topic. Is there really some kind of limit like this?
If yes, then why? What's wrong in editing own posts, especially if someone makes a typo?
If not, what an be the reason that page doesn't let me edit my own posts? I even tried fully refreshing page and restarting browser.

I assume there are caching issues. When you send changes, they don't immediately show on the site for me as well. Wait for a while (5 mins, 10 mins maybe 15 mins...) and refresh the page and you should see them updated.

I had the same thing happen. I *think* there might also be some sort of charcter/spacing restriction or error. If I remember right, when I took out some of the message, the edits finally appeared. My problems were related to lines jumbling together instead of appearing separate when I did a nonbulleted list of items.

*edit: probably also the caching too like MurCell mentioned because edits to this message did the same thing he mentioned above.
