Call me dumb if I'm just not seeing it, but is there nowhere to establish who a trade partner was after the trade is completed?

I got a dupe key, and would like to avoid them in the future if need be.

Also, if this is the wrong place to ask this or whatnot - "dumb" again is fine.

Unfortunately, you can't see that, would be amazing if implemented into the trading system along with rep history to see if the person is legit.

I suggest before accepting saving their profile!

Oh, absolutely. Trusting days are over.
You can mail the support or go tho IndiGala discord to ask.

But before cutting ties talk with the user, maybe he made a mistake and is ok to fix it.

I can talk my case, the first two trade i made where for two used keys (i was not able to check them becouse i already owned the game), but efter activating one of the won game successfully i was able, throught the helpdesk, to contact the user and give him a key replacement (i got negative feedback but i was ok with it).

The other trade was a fake so i have not fixed that error (it was a trade for Battle for the Galaxy, owning the dlc Ice Bastion Pack i wanted the game but i got scammed with a second dlc).

Well i recommend you to you this section of the forum for safer trades. Also try to avoid the ones who doesn't have their steam connected to indiegala thats a big red flag for me. If you trade here often then you will see familiar faces in a short period of time so its easier to consider a trade risky or totally safe. This might help to trust traders again.
