Normally I wouldn't trade for a sequel before playing the 1st (more interested in trading for DR1) but this apparently has a unique protagonist and storyline.

can relate to that void of purpose, though if you don't win DR2 perhaps other games can do it, I don't even know why I bother buying them when there's over a thousand free ones I haven't tried
