Same, first I thought it was some kind of protection, but when this happens, it also affects the libraries, they stop loading, I can't see my Steam keys from bought bundles, giveaways won, to check and created, etc., so it seems to be definitely a sever error.

Definitely a server error of some sort. Took a peek what happens with browser tools.
When things work the server sends a response and all is dandy.
When we get the error no response is received from the server.

Servers overload + users having no other option but to reload the page (Why do you lock tickets, Indiegala???) = even worse, I think.

I've just been testing things on the GA system, and I think I've come to the conclusion that the error is a poor attempt at a server-enforced limit on the number of giveaway entries that can be done. I limited myself to one entry every five seconds or more (you could easily go through a whole page in 10 seconds if it wasn't speed-limited) and I was able to get through about five pages (a dozen giveaways per page in my particular view) that probably had about 60% coverage up to my level (2) without seeing the error (so, maybe 40 entries). It's not a limit on the number of extra odds; it's a limit on the number of actions interpreted by the server, because any bot could sweep through the entire section in a matter of seconds without such a limit. I actually think I've seen the number of 20,000 entry "extra odds" giveaways reduce drastically since this started happening.

So maybe IG is doing something to curtail the bot problem. Maybe this is a good thing.

It would still be nice if a rep were to comment on it in these forums somewhere, and it would have been nice to see a MOTD or something talking about the new rule implementation.

This is all kicks and giggles, but how does your experiment fit into my experience of getting an error on the second ticket right away? And then being unable to take that second ticket for about five minutes. After that, the struggle continued for the third ticket. Just a thing that occured on my coffee break at work a week ago. "It's not a bug, it's a feature" doesn't work here :/

I have no idea what you did, how many "extra odds" tickets you tried to get, how fast you did it.

What I tested works, and is repeatable.

Sigh. Why the hell do you assume that those were extra odds? Regular single tickets.

UPD. Weirdly enough, I'm not seeing any errors lately.

because someone else specifically mentioned extra odds, and specifically sitting there and hammering that ticket tab everytime it refreshes from the little crappy animation would seem guaranteed to violate an input timing limit. i can still get the error IF I try doing it too quickly.

...except, I'm usually entering Indiegala once per day, and I want to choose my giveaways asap. And guess what's happening when I try to finish do it as usual... sometimes I can't even click few giveaways in a row not to get this. UTTERLY frustrating. So while the overall idea might be good, but the execution is terrible - as humans can be very easily mistaken for the bots, as we can learn in this thread

I've been getting the errors on giveaways for a while now, but it was just tonight that I could no longer access my profile either, which is really frustrating. I was hoping there would be a workaround here, but it looks like there is no possible resolution.
