Same here! A guy, BogdanSalgau, left me negative feedback that I provided a fake code for Battleborn; I didn't since I did not offer Battleborn but I offered a code for a SKIN PACK (DLC) for Battleborn, not the full game; never stated otherwise. He just didn't read properly, so now I am left with negative feedback, which is unfair. I did even state it again in the comments of my trade that he needed to be aware this was for DLC and when he didn't respond, I went on with the trade. His fault, not mine. People need to read more carefully!
I don't know how your giveaway (or trade) looked like, but you should be aware that:
1. Yes, people often don't read comments - at all. People look at provided game name and link to steam store page (if even that) of your giveaway or trade, so if you pick one for the full game - well, it's your fault in the first place.
2. Yes, people expect to get what they enter for, and if at the top of your giveaway or trade it said "Battleborn" - that's what other guy expected to get. You not suppose to create giveaway for one game (or DLC) linking it to something else on Steam - effectively creating a false advertizement. You say there's no store page for this DLC or game on Steam? Well, maybe it's something given out for free somewhere? Some special pack that you can get only through that giveaway and not on Steam store? And you want to give it to somebody else? Ok, but why you EXPECT TO GET REWARDED for that? Post in forums, post in trade groups - but don't try to play the system creating fake giveaways or trades. If YOU "read carefully" promts that IG forms give you when you creating trades and giveaways - you will see that it specifically state when you enter store link and the Steam key that your key:a) valid and not used, and b) for the game that you promise to give, the one you are picking for the link to Steam store page.
I'm not saying that this was the underlying issue in your case - but I saw too many giveaways which people link to store page of the game - trying to give away free DLC for that game or even some other game entirely just because there's no store page for that one. And if as a result they get negative feedback instead of positive (and a huge amount of points) - wel, it's only fair.
