Have played all earlier games but not New Vegas or 76. Would love to play New Vegas, because the world seems more immersive and alive than 3 or even 4.

I can tell you its not more immersive or alive feeling.. its as ugly as Fallout 3 and just as broken, but the story and characters are better... better written dialog and more interesting quests/missions to do. Also with mods it becomes much better looking and possible to improve the gameplay a ton.
