I tried playing a challenge for cutting down trees, but I could find no controls listed anywhere. What am I even supposed to do? Pressing every button on my keyboard showed some kind of inventory and a couple other things like emotes lol

If you play "e" it shows emotes, but it is useless.

Play the base game first, theres a tutorial there and you can get used to the controls.

right mouse button
I am using right mouse button (in most of challenges), left mouse button (saplings) and arrow keys for movement.

We don't know, in past I asked and staff hadn't reply, so it is a mistery. Anyway I never tried it but if you get used of keyboard and mouse you will improve your gameplay.
Yes yes, I have also asked but they didn't answer me either. Anyway I got used to the controls, the problem is that I did not want to shorten the life of my mouse. :ROFLMAO:

If you're just using a gamepad for WASD and LMB/RMB inputs there shouldn't even be a way for anyone to know that you're not using a keyboard, since you only generate standard key presses.
So if you really think a gamepad would be more comfortable/precise for you, I'd say go for it. The only thing in the rules that can apply to controls is ban on automation, which can mean auto-click macros (which wouldn't be all that useful anyway), but if you're playing it normally, you shouldn't produce any suspicious inputs no matter what you're playing on, whether it's a keyboard, a gamepad, a dance mat or even a driving wheel.

I was thinking about playing feudalife on a dance mat. It would be fun :ROFLMAO: you can burn some calories too.

chopping 8 trees is like a A gold mine

I would always be stuck with 6 or 5
wondering how the hell can I improve
where the mechanics are a bit clunky

my critics of the game lol

You need to only chop the smaller trees and right click only 15 times (you either count it mentally or see the points you earn) while trying to only move in a small area, a lot of small trees together makes things easier.
Also with 60 seconds you can do 8/9 trees.
