I ran a couple of races and got 2 trophies. Second race came down to the wire!

How was it to use jump to turn faster? XD

It was cool. I haven't had to use it much because most of the tracks in area 1 don't have sharp turns.

Another strange mechanic is how you can shake off TNT creates from your head by tapping jump

Still haven't figured out how to avoid the homing missiles. Those things are annoying. You lose all momentum when hit.
Maybe I just need to zigzag sharply if I'm targeted. I should read the manual

I think I got my kart racing fix for today. I'll come back to it later, or maybe play something more... modern

oh dude, you don't even know. those jumps are more for the hyper acceleration and not for jump.

no, only corners/walls will save you.
Also if you speed up fast it'll explode before it gets you, but it's more of a coincidence than a mechanic.
Also the ball of lightning is a real pain in the arse.
And the bottles after 10 woompa fruits (fucking rain cloud over the head ruins all the momentum indeed).
And freaking stopwatch!!! ARGGHH!!!
