I normally don't do these kind of posts...but I felt the need this time just because its the first time in awhile i actually got absorbed in a game for hours and lost 'time' (irony incoming

)
I bought another copy of Blades Of Time (my region locked key which turned out to be EU)--lol
@LuckyStrike1305
I finally got to install it where i'm staying last night and started up expecting to be where the demo began, I actually figure i'm close to reaching that point...which is quite a ways in if your new (again) at the game.
I have to say though, for an older title it aged extremely well...the story was left out of the demo and honestly is pretty cheesy with bad VA lol.
But the gameplay, controls, combat mechanics, graphics (4K HDR), etc. are still as good, if not better than the original demo was, particularly the graphics, but thats to be expected on PC.
I was expecting to play some sluggish memory of a game that was good for its time (pun-intended) and i find myself debating if I hit a checkpoint to be sure I wanted to shut it down and continuing anyways until I had to tear myself away.
Now don't get me wrong, its not the best game in the world, you likely need to have liked it before or enjoy time rewind in general (it can be infuriating lol)...but it always keeps you wanting to reach the next area or find the next power-up in a way that keeps you ever wanting to turn it off--something many new games can't accomplish anymore.
It dragged me in like the old Assassin's creed games did before they murdered the series with new mechanics, always looking to the next objective or treasure instead of wondering which choice to make so you don't miss something...which you can, but its your last concern while your aiming your rifle around for hidden enemies, creating an aura to see certain enemies and chests, or getting rushed by five enemies that can only be hit from behind by a shadow of yourself in time reversal.
I just figured I'd share my opinion on this old title that never really got much hype...I definitely suggest giving it a try if your a fan of DMC / Heavenly Sword style games...since I can't find much else to compare it to with the unique mechanics except maybe a Prince of persia title, but that was not even close to the combat involved.
