I think i hit 2000 tries before finally winning something (nearly 2 months). Then i won something like 10 minor games or DLCs in 4 months, then i discovered groups, and that went reaaaaaaally up.

Geez... And I was thinking that my luck must have been at rock bottom! I was expecting some maybe 1k : 1 win? 2k to 1 win.. Yep that takes 2 months then..

Nope, not idling, they know when it happens and they will frown !

Playing. They check for achievements earned and will kick you if they notice you used an achievement unlocker. At least there you only have to play the games you win in that group. It's easy to do, only enter GAs in that group which you can play in a month if won. There are more hardcore groups which require you to play a significant percent of all your SG wins. Those are definitely not for me as I regularly enter GAs of bad games / missed freebies for the trading cards.

In that case I can't join those group until I get my 525M upgraded

Most definitely. There are people who play nice on SG because of the stricter rules/moderation but cheat here on IG giveaways and/or have 10-20 or more accounts on sites like AWA and Lootboy. Of course there's cheating on SG too but a lot less than here. Many use auto-joiners and there are multiaccounters but they tend to be low level on SG because you can't level up with fake GAs, freebies, in-game codes and stuff like that there. You also need a separate Steam account with a significant account value for every SG profile. That makes the entry cost to cheating a lot higher. Ofc nothing can be done if somebody cheats elsewhere and uses their ill-gotten gains to level up on SG. Calling out such behaviour is not allowed either.

That makes sense then given that having a bar for entry means that lesser multiaccounters as you have to own at least $100 worth of games and at their counting rate means that amounts to a lot of games.. I think when I joined my value was just $100+? Despite owning over 800 games on stats..

This the list of all the games I got on steamgifts in one and half year. I'm level zero.

Some decent wins there especially the Dead by Daylight DLC!
At over 900 joined and zero wins I am already getting weary of not getting anything (I might have more joins here at Indiegala before my first win but here we don't see stats of joined so it's less depressing). I can't imagine going 2k then finally 1 win.

i don't think, as the game is a bit old, most certainly a lack of optimisation in the dev work

What I have read is that that they tried to incorporate the PhysX (I think it was that) which Nvidia had in plans to release but never did. That PhysX was to make the whole game effects run so lifelike. However Nvidia backed out on that project and since there are no cards at that point that can support such a harsh requirements the whole game fell apart and did their developers.. It's really sad that the developers tried to make do with something so new yet they got backstabbed and lost everything..

Well no waste if you win more games in the future it could help on Steamgifts. I mean I will still be gifting some here on giveaways (for malus reduction purpose) and also on Gamer's Lair but maybe the more common and less asked for ones I would do Steamgifts with.

in 11 months on steamgifts, i've entered 11 293 giveaways, and won 12 games...i'm level 0

So that rate is 1K : 1.. Geez that's harsh to learn about that

Yep that's why I knew I was right to ask for advice here as you know the people here are so willing to share and holds no bars to sharing!

There is no catch , you become greenmangamings xp member you get discounts and similar stuffs , if you reach gold tier you sometimes get a whell of fortune where you can get games for free , usually you have to buy your way into becoming a member, but sometimes you have a friend who gives you a code making you a member for free .
EDIT : I already gave one to Co2no before , now I have another one to give if someone wants it .

Being Bronze like has no perks.. The other day I was told there is a game giveaway on GMG but being stuck at Bronze yields me nothing. But given my current graphics specs I find it a total waste buying any games since I can't play most. Might as well just wait for the prices to slid further until I can get a decent spec to play them

Nope nothing new reported so far.. Myself I haven't added anything new of note since mid October? (Other than the most recent iBomber). Still I play them daily so that I will be able to do one of these 3. Trade if the keys are more uncommon, giveaway common keys to reduce malus (and now to Steamgifts to level up). Lastly maybe some spare uncommons for the wheels and of sort of giveaways here at Gamer's Lair or common ones for the mass giveaways. Though I have been amassing high chance dupe keys which I might do giveaways here for soon

If you are low level on Steamgifts then your best chance is joining very short, 1-2 hour long public giveaways and invite-only giveaways shared on the SG forum. If you want to improve your chances you should level up and try to join groups.

But! Unlucky-7 is real deal if you just started on SG

I do love to play many of my games I have but I need for a pc upgrade which is hard to do at this point

there are very interesting groups, for example, people who set the topic of the month and then you participate in it or with the game that you won, or which is in the library and fits the topic. When your game is checked, you will be given access to giveaways with a very limited number of people, sometimes 20-30 people in total. And this encourages playing games, and not just storing them in the library.

My key is also duplicated. I used the code for the main game. That's why I thought they allow one of the two codes, but those who did not use the first code had the same problem. I think this time they gave out used keys to everyone Any of us have the code working?
