You attribute a lot of bad to the devs
Their real game is slayaway camp, not going away, not f2p
This was more a fan game, mobile game, the episodes were paid MT's
I don't know why the first 8 were made free, but it was done a long time ago and has nothing to do with the removal
it's the license holders for jason that denied their request to renew

The fact it was done long ago is why...

Yet, the DLC will remain up for purchase...and why not just lose jason from the store?

Which was by far the most tempting DLC i'll admit...but thats easy enough, downloadable for already bought customers and no longer for sale.

I do attribute a lot of bad about this particular game to the devs - of course I don't pretend to know the entire situation either. I do figure they're had to be alternative options.

It's not just a skin key, this will activate the main game, or at least it used to, dont know if card drops are also given.

Main game activates yes, but only treats as f2p, so no drops

Checking the reviews on steam & pricing on steamdb, the game & its dlc upto episode 8 were free for a long time.
So not sure why they mentioned that now some of them are made free.
But still looks good, so added them to library. Would be nice if there was a sale for the remaining dlc expansions.

yeah, I've played it, it's neat looking and has interesting gameplay tweaks (being the rhythm game/dungeon crawler fusion).
Everhood is more of a Guitar Hero rip-off, while NecroDancer looks more original.
You can also turn off the music and play it like the normal, non-rhythm game (i.e. w/o any penalties for not getting the rhythm right).

I actually went through hellfire and brimstone to connect a second Square account to Amazon because mine wouldn't just for Avenger skins...a game I have no intention of buying atm--just in case I ever did
