I need help.

My pc had some archives corrupted, i used sfc scannow and chdsks( something in those lines) win found and repaired then katchau, steam " cant connect" tried restarting and also reinstaling, but for nothing.

Help, do i just burn my house down?

And about my pc, was sometime playing or wathever with control, then it get to the windows screen( idk the name in english, but in portuguese we call minimizar a janela), it doesnt close, but get at the shortcut, then my mouse work, the left click looks like do 2 clicks, and the right doesnt work, win bar shortcut also doesnt work, or the keyboard open random things, and i thought it could br be because of corrupted win files

This time I'm going to say you have some damaged hardware, your last reset didn't get rid of the problem, or yes. Burn it down.

That sounds like a prank virus I made to fuck with a friend of mine (and you don't know jack IIRC) :ROFLMAO:

I can't understand what exactly is causing the problem with this...description (I think) so i don't know ow to help.

Are you always playing the same game?

Do you use a controller program other than steam?

In your steam options do you have the "Desktop Configuration" setup and on? Because that would make your controller act like a mouse or depending on the game your keyboard act like a controller or send keystrokes.

Any key sending / clicker apps? God knows I imagine alot of people here use them for something.

Going ta 'half' 2 B much more detailed than "everything went nuts at once" , try closing all the programs you don't absolutely need and just playing the game...then turn them back on one by one and see if they cause the issue again,

There are a million reasons for all the things you just explained, more than likely the game janela isn't closing and is just turning transparent or see through while trying to close it, so your basically still clicking the game instead of windows. Try bringing up your task manager (Ctrl+Alt+Del) and looking for the game name in that list (usually need to click the arrow left of Steam.exe and expand it), if you find it, select the game exe (or just select Steam.exe), right click once its highlight blue and then click kill ll processe or kill process tree to end steam entirely.

If you can click after that your getting an invisible game window which may be frozen due to those corrupt files.

One of MANY options.

It isnt invisible, but uk when u r in a browser and have the _ , then a square, and and X? When you click _ it doesnt close the windows, and it just started recently, my bro was playing then it happened, around 2 times? Then 1 with me today.( Restarting the pc seems to make it come back), so i thought, maybe some corrupted files are doing their " work"
I tried to correct it using cmds, dunno if it worked? But steam just said to me " funk you"
And i don't think it is a problem with the pc components, but it really is nuts.

Never do this if you don't have too...SSDs have a secure wipe feature, this is like defragmenting them, completely useless.

Thats not likely corrupted files.

Windows (or forms, pages, tabs, dialogs, models, frame, blot of 35 looking pixels that reacts to code lol...etc etc)...we call it a fucking window too unless you programmer and then its language dependent lol.

if its a normal window (title bar follows your color scheme, idk any better way to explain this one to you) from a game, thats one thing...

if its STEAM, its probably just another glitch since they draw their UI custom and don't use a basic Window Class, I just froze myself awhile ago using the menu's heh.

Check all the stupid things first, mouse batteries/charge, mouse buttons jammed, keyboard, anything like those or the drivers they use.

The default wndproc is extremely low in the Windows API inside one of the files that would likely cause an entire system meltdown if it was missing. Unless you happened to corrupt sendkeys and hit test area of a dll by some unseen miracle.

Usually this is more common with WPF, I could sit here all day and explain exacttly how messages in the chain receive a WindowProc and accept all the input...frankly I'm not going to have time lately.

Quick suggestions...

Check KB and mice on another system if you can.

Try to update drivers and verify files (if its a game), reinstall steam from the webpage, along with chrome...clear browser cookies from chrome as well as steams setting page, reboot.

Try using either in bios if it gets bad--bios will always fail as well if its hardware

run scanners again

wait for the next steam update...

talk to others here, I'm on two days of zero sleep and gonna be busy as hell the entire time almost straight through that i do have...you can ask whatever you choose, if I can i'll answer....but I can't take this on as a one on one repair :ROFLMAO:

how old is your ssd ?

5 of my ign accounts finish today so I missed gator. r.i.p

was playing atomic heart with a friend at gamepass. very playable but damnz some later puzzles in that game kicks our a***

fps should not be involve too much puzzles in my opinion

and I thought atomic will be terrible like whatever comes lately but beautiful graphs and world was a suprise for me 7/10

anyways almost finishing that

I agree, fps should stick to itself and if there are puzzles it should be light and minimal and fun also, and not dampen the gameplay.🧩

I know that Resident Evil 3: Nemesis original is not an fps but who doesnt remember the water treatment puzzle if you have played it ?😂, Synthetic sounds🎵 used to remind me of that puzzle🧩, not anymore though.(y)
