Lights out and away we go! Click into this comment to view my thoughts on my February games: Adios, Hook, Shadow Tactics: Blades of the Shogun, The Next Door

March came in like a lion and was really busy for me personally and at work, so I didn't get to play many games, but at least I was really impressed by the ones I did finish! Here are my thoughts on them:

Haven Park - (Was free on GOG) - I loved this game so much. It's a management/adventure cross where you, Flint, must now take care of and repair a campground that your grandma passed on to you while also exploring the island, completing quests, and finding resources for said construction. Only one part, towards the end, felt out of place when you were exploring the mines under a mountain. Oh, and all the characters are adorable animals and the chill camping vibes of the game are ✨immaculate✨. Flint's little waddle as he walks and 'pew!' sound when jumping had me melting it's so cute. The graphics are simple but colorful, and there's a tilt-shift effect that gives it the feel of playing a diorama. I fell totally into this game and was sad to finish it. As grandma put it - "I didn't take care of this place, this place took care of me."

Slay the Dragon! - (Free on Steam - shoutout to all you users sharing your free on steam discoveries 🙌 ) - An incredibly heartwarming short story game where you play as Maj on a quest to rescue her brother, August, who was kidnapped by a dragon. The story and gameplay is straightforward and simple as you traverse a handful of areas on your way to the dragon's lair. The music is fantastic, the little gibberish vocals are adorable, and the graphics are so well done for a free game done by students. Seriously, the moss on stones, carvings in rocks, and creative looking animals were well done! I just wish there was more variety to the creatures - there's only one main enemy type per level. I also felt bad about basically storming through their homes and slaughtering them all... they didn't do anything, the dragon did! 😬 The writing presents us with deep, memorable quotes such as, "If we're not careful, we will die the death!" and "You better let him go, you evil booger!" and ends in such a whimsical and loving twist. This is so worth it for anyone with a sibling who fantasized about adventures and playing in the woods.

Vane - (a gift from ][-][.e.r.m.e.s 🤩) - An adventure game where you are a crow boy flying around various decayed, moody levels ranging from a desert, a jail, to a futuristic monolith in order to free other crow children with weird as fuck haircuts. All levels of the world are surrounding by a raging, violent storm that plays into the "story" which is kind of up to you to interpret. The long loading screens tend to take you out of the experience and the collision physics can be a bit wonky, but the destruction and mysticism of the environments and story is gripping enough to outweigh those. You navigate obstacles both in human form on the ground and in crow form in the air, and the flying was such a freeing experience. Lastly, the interesting graphical style (best described as shifting polygons) looks like it was continuously rendered by AI which was a unique treat for the eyes.

For Lootboyz: I have finally 125 diamonds, but I can't find a way to spend diamonds for a game, there is steam supreme pack but cost 1.65 eur and there is no way to use 125 diamonds.
note: I'm using the website, I don't have the app.
I used to click the Diamonds in the upper-right and it would take me to the right page, but lately if you click the diamonds it brings up some annoying menu (quests). I have the old link that it used to send you to LootBoy - die Beute-App für Gamer!
https://www.lootboy.de/loots/ 👈 Here's the link in plain text, it still works (bookmark it), it should show all available lootpacks that you can buy without money. I scroll halfway down the page to get to the offers that are more interesting to me. (y)

if buy 25 packs the price is 2500,basically 100 diamonds per pack
It is interesting the discount, but I'm pretty slow earning diamonds it will take may 2 years, and probally Lootboy will increase more the diamond price to redeem games.

Me too I used to click on diamonds button on the right side to find packs you can buy with them, after they changed something in the layout.
Thanks. (y)

Does anyone remember how we talked about Fanatical rewards?

It's not really a secret that I can write - so, I wrote a few game reviews last month on Fanatical. And today I got the mail - they informed me I won a 100$ coupon.

Obviously, I spent it immediately - tbh, they said it must be used in one purchase and there was a deadline so... I bought myself Persona 3, Person 4, Marvel's Midnight's Suns, that bundle with Marsupilami, STALKER bundle, Arcade Paradise, Mystery bundle...

And then I decided to write a few reviews again - who knows? Maybe the next month I'll spend 100$ on Gamers Lair - although I have lots of games for giveaways from this purchase as well.

And I'm really grateful that Fanatical is probably the only store where $ has a bigger value than € - because I spent over 105€ and a 100$ coupon covered everything. :D
That's awesome! 😄 I've also been writing some reviews from time to time in hopes of winning that, but no such luck yet.

Sooooo have you played vampire the masquerade bloodlhunt?
I installed it only because it is Vampire the Masquerade and then I played the tutorial. And that was the only thing I played. I thought maybe I'll feel like playing PvP because of the game settings but, nah...

I'll still be waiting on VTM Bloodlines 2 - the only proper way of playing a true VTM video game - or maybe I'll try Swansong on Epic when it'll be discounted.

From time to time, they run the so-called Package Panic event when you need to buy ordinary lootpacks and get some diamonds randomly. Since these coins are nowhere to be spent, this is a pretty good option to replenish the diamond stock. For some reason it seems to me that they will do the next one at Easter.
