It's a classic. But if you want a truly evil AI master, you should try another classic adventure (based on Harlan Ellison's story) - I Have No Mouth, And I Must Scream.

SF was dealing with AI long before we even had a transistor because many great SF authors were (and still are) scientists.
I remember well the game cover art lol but I never played it, thanks for the suggestion. There were many point & click games back in time, I've some of them in the backlog, but I have to realize if I still enjoy to play this genre today, for the reason if I start to read at night I fall asleep. Only reading the gala forum keeps me awake:ROFLMAO:

I noticed I'd fall asleep while fighting, but I'm wide awake when reading lore and dialogues. It's a good thing that I'm mostly playing turn-based RPGs.

Well, we are better than most game writers :p especially with my life fucking drama

I don't know how you do the text games (was just looking at VtM again lol), and Idk why they don't have a single fucking demo even for the new games lmao. Bloodlines is half off, but its also 20yrs old and $10 off :ROFLMAO:

Not all VtM games are text adventures (although there are 2 masterpieces among those - and one of them allows me to play as Tremere). You can find on YT videos of VtM Swansong and Bloodlines 2 just released one extensive gameplay video a few days ago.

Yeah, I forgot about VtM Justice again. Because I don't have VR and never saw a game worth buying VR. So, maybe Justice is the one...
Lemme just say this flat out...most VR games, especially types like that, in my personal experience--have been a big disappointment.

I certainly don't suggest buying a headset for one game in particular. I've actually found the most enjoyment in games like beat saber (drinking lol), a VR strip club, and sports like boxing.

Most adventure and particularly RPG attempts have been mediocre at best. Maybe they got it right idk at the moment...but I'd bet against it honestly.

EDIT:

And after watching that you'd best go wireless (Quest 2 or something) if you really do decide to take that plunge. You would need free movement in 360 for that type of game...something I don't have, although I've gotten used to avoiding the wires by now.

Wow dude, I just watched like half of that and I'm not sure I WANT to try this series...they were getting mauled from every direction, enemies jumping up to third stories chasing them and shit :ROFLMAO:

Fuck that shit hahaha.
There are some things I don't like so far - apart from the name of the protagonist (I guess 10 yo kid thought Phyre would be cool). Apparently, the hero has a voice in his/her head throughout the game; there are some really screaming colours in that video, and fighting looks kind of repetitive...

I wonder how cool could be playing Gta V in VR.
Zucky made an anouncement about Gta San Andreas in Vr for Oculus Quest 2 but it's been 3 years and it didn't come out yet XD Fortunately there are mods.

I played back in time Redemption I liked it, it could be look old today ehhe
I've been debating this for the $3 but like you said, it looks ancient...

did it have controller support?

Ya...I was gonna ask about the talking dude, I thought it was a fucking cell phone or walkie talkie :ROFLMAO:

And the fight was my point entirely.
Btw, the scariest shit you can find in any game is in VtM Bloodlines. So, you're a big, bad vampire? Ruler of the night? You're apex predator? Fine! Then you need to check what is going on in that old Ocean House Hotel... I feel chills just thinking about it.
And I was just getting over the resident evil vibe it gave me

Just...no.

They can barely get driving right without a steering wheel setup, or shooting.

A mix of both and then add full 3rd person on top...fucking nightmare waiting to happen.

The problem with VR is they use weird motions for things...like just as an example, in one of my boxing games you have to hold your hands above your head to get up after being knocked down...and a different one you move your arms side to side to walk forward or backward.

That destroys it entirely...and because its not full body on Oculus yet at least, all the games want to be on both platforms. So it turns to shit.

Some games have you holster your gun to reload which is decent, yada yada...but you add too many commands in with only hand movement and two button controllers and its all shit.

If leg tracking worked for boxing there goes the stupid arm movements (which killed it horribly), etc etc.

Its just not even designed properly for all the games they release yet.

Ones where only arms are needed or the tracking of the headset itself to like duck...games like Superhot, shooters, and some sports are great, or just video. But full body motion isn't in all the hardware yet, so games that should rely on it, can't.

When your in a VR headset your literally blind, up is down, back is forward, etc...I end up facing the entire wrong direction after boxing and shit usually.

So trying to use a joystick usually isn't too ideal either 🤷‍♂️
