Same trick works for events as weekly Steam quests. Hide playtime before joining the event, and make it public after. That assumes you have playtime to begin with. You can also just idle the game with SAM or ASF. No need to install and play.
Ya, no time on smite or multiversus 🤷‍♂️ multiversus is actually the worse of the two, thing set off my GPU power limit alarm in the first like 3 minutes

A few minute playtime first impressions.

Transistor - 3.08GB

Warning - even for me this was an ADHD record breaker with too much going on...I intend to try it again eventually so this is probably overly brutal even by my standrad.

This is literally the first scene in the game, i'm like cool...looks like she killed an ex-lover or something, houstin we have plot point.

20250125_034448.jpg

This was the second scene, then the next interaction is Sir Lancenot asking Aetherus if we're gonna get away with our crime...and some puddle not related to it behind you that has nothing to do with anything being an inspection point for no reason but to say it has one

No big...its indy I get it. Wait, yes it is...who's the fucking guy we just killed? Was he just some nobody? Thats our entrance? You are on the run for killing joe blo...you can't be serious? That had SO much potential

Ok...maybe its just a slow burn, lets see how nasty my sword it

🤦‍♂️

I wish I didn't ask...you get a hulk smash type ground pound thats so slow its unbearable and some laser shot that has the worst angle aiming in history and is of course weak as well as terrible to make contact...and thats it.

They don't 'combine' into anything...they combo (poorly I might add in this case), in the next battle they let you strategize a bit by preselecting movements and attacks (while you get hit inbetween anyways) and it does the combination for you in one fast motion to make it look badass like the ganeplay video...but if you can do it anytime you chooae, they neglected to tell you how...so your back to hulk smashing everything with your sword

At this point they're lucky I was programming past the 14 day mark or I would have asked for a refiund

I'm not saying its a bad game, i'm saying it was a bad game for me in a rush with my ADHD.

Alice: Madness Returns - 8.33GB

I have to start off by saying this is by far one of the best wastes of a dollar in existence, I'd buy this game over a Klondike bar, if you can even get one of those for a buck anymore these days

No, really...this game is GOOD, simplistic, predictable, old school video gaming meets 3D with one of the very few stories we know from books and movies that they were actially able to bring to a video game right, with the icing on the cake being its a whole new twist to an old tale...its familiar enough to drag you in, but different enough to intrigue you as to whats coming next.

Hold on Alice, cause wonderland ..is going bye bye.

This game is Alice in Wonderland by Tim Burton if he actial had to write a story that made sense and wasn't just a mind fuck...I really don't know how to explain it in words...but its bloody, sinister, yet cartoonish enough not to make your stomach twist...all while doing a great job keeping either urge satisfied.

The beggining is a crawl...nothings there and once you get bored looking around you should just go to the obvious as hell plot point because its not even that visually pleasing during the hum and drum, reused human models, etc etc...although some of the background chatter is hilarious.

Then your in wonderland, in comes my pp to tell you that this isnt your average wonderland and a little bit of gameplay mechanics...next time they materialize, they tell you that you can shrink to go through keyholes that were once again obvious to everyone (but the button wouldnt work) ..the next time after that they give you what looks like a bloodstained chef knife and cuts like one too

So now your fairy jumping, keyhole crawling days of zero defense are over, which are actually good puzzle mechanics in this game tbh, but now you can fight back...along with the knife comes the ability to dash or vanish through enemies like no other alice before you....and the story continues with you killing some peon enemies...here is where I just decided this game was on the to be played list where they all go right now and called it quits, and I really didnt want to.

10/10 broke the monotony scale and dragged me right out of my ADHD zone and into wonderland.
