Man, gala has a death rattle in the worst way...I tried finding the cat to ask her which user is the actual owner owner in discord, I was going to break my rule of life and actually go into the server just to ask if they wanted someone running IT on the forum end since I need legit access to their dashboard to do anything useful..besides getting blamed for trying to hack the site :LOL: which I don't really need on my head--especially since I've been considering doing this for quite some time just so we had someone here that could handle things when it was needed.

I don't need any more work...but I need these forums to work...even ivo hasn't really been here lately along with a bunch of other users (big surprise), something needs to be done before those users never come back...if we wait for them to test every security setting one by one to decide which is the safest to remove this time rather than actually find a solution...their may not be much of a forum user base left...problem is idk who I'm looking for with the direct authority to decide that, paula should be aware people here would be willing if she reads the forums--so asking her seems pointless 🤷‍♂️ idk but damn...place is getting worse after a short time it seemed they fixed it. I have to assume they're fumbling around with certain "on/off' switches in the dash or code so to speak or worse, waiting for xenforo or users on the boards for an outdated product.

Yeah, I think by this time a large majority of users have verified Steam Accounts

I recall more activity in here, especially in terms of comments for giveaways/trades/ when a free game was added. However, it could be because users have their own problems, are busy, or are playing their games. I'm glad to see IG fixed comments under giveaways. I never expected that until today, while checking if you can.

I keep getting forum kicked again lately...for much longer.

The GAs are a lot of things, no retro (hope he's doing ok), I'm in a non-stop uphill battle for life as it stands and have a million thongs going on (that cost money or take most of my time--so I can likely end up homeless lol), pos is nowhere to be found again and we lost alot of our other GA users quite some time back...and alot of good users, last time we had trolling a big chunk of them never came back really pygmy, klingki (but hes doing something else, same with dante), turd, etc etc. its honestly been getting more dull for quite some time here...without retro's neverending spirited ideas even new users don't get into the gove and take...then with me not doing any they barely even know we did them at all right now heh.

Unfortunately, its like you said...plus the issues. Only the long time loyal users and a few fresh faces really keep sticking it out while nothings going on 🤷‍♂️ at least it still 'sort' of lets us hang out :LOL:

Let's be honest, the giveaway system needs work, and yeah, I know it's something casual, but it can be abused so easily, and a lot of the time, users have created fake giveaways in the past.

I meant GAs here :LOL: I barely acknowledge the GA page itself. I know it's a site attraction (and yes--it definitely needs work too), another thing I would fix..and that fake code one is easy--or just updating the site rules in the case of GOG keys--but thats their choice in any case...not some lowly user 😅 the fact they can't even detect keys with letters steam can't uae is kind of sad though, I mean all you need to do is waste 10-15 keys as you activate them and stick letters or numbers in one by one to figure out which even if there isnt a list readily available--and then chekcing the string is easy in literally any type of code.

There are other more annoying issues but nothing any decent programmer with a little determination couldn't handle pretty quick, depending on what they limit for web code and more particularly what xenforo does on the dash--it seems pretty flexible if you learn but I can't really say and its also been outdated since I was reading about it at all so what I read was likely for the newer version. Who can say. This crashing again could be browser or backend related and thats a new can of worms for me--but NOTHING should take as long as it takes them usually :LOL:
