I hate that too. Yesterday afternoon it happened the same thing to me. Before shutdown pc it installed all updates. My pc is becoming really slow, even when I turn it on, it takes forever before opening desktop. I should make a clean install but I don't have the wish:ROFLMAO:

If its just eating all your resources, its likely doing it intentionally or with the built in virri scanner.

But I wasn't able to download steam games yesterday because it decided updates were more important...I never bothered to do the fix on it though, so I'd end up doing it for myself while i was at it :LOL:

The updates have a set percentage of bandwidth they can use, idk how well the settings menu works for doing it, I've always used the registry method myself...but thats easy to find under the update section.

If your on Windows 11 your out of luck, I won't touch that with someone else 'ten' foot pole :ROFLMAO:

I'missing old times when I can customize windows xp making a custom iso without all the junk I don't need.

Just yesterday, I was taking a look at my big library, I wanted to play something new and my eye went on Zwei serie. It looks like nice action rpg, but I don' t know yet if I will start it:ROFLMAO: I'm finding easy games with few hours to complete. I don't know it is grinding game, Zwei the Arges Adventure (the first one) is 14hrs to beat, it should be fine for me. Zwei: The Ilvard Insurrection is 20,5 hrs.

I was able to remove his hibernation file (not needed unless you hibernate your PC), it disabled hibernation entirely though...as for the updates when you shutdown, nothing can be done about those unless you stop it from updating (which can be done, but then you risk security flaws)

In that case he was getting his internet stopped while downloading the updates, which I helped him change his bandwidth settings and stopped downloads from OTHER PCs--major security flaw (think torrent with Windows Updates), be more than glad to help you do any of the same if your interested, I can just copy/paste what I told him to do.

None of it ended up involving the registry since it was easier to do in Windows 10 by the settings menu lol.

Luckily this happens really from time to time, it is not so big problem for me but I'd like to know that procedure for my information. Yes you can share to me by pm please. :)

I didn't know, they could have had it for ages...so I let someone answer who did. Sorry, didn't mean to just ignore the post...I had no idea.

EDIT:

I'll continue betting on it if I see it though and give it to you if I happen to luck out. I loved the original myself since I was a kid, so I get it.
