At AWA you gain ARPs to level up. By leveling up you gain access to higher gated giveaways. So far the highest gate is level 30. I saw before that there are keys given out previously in a descending level scheme whereby the pool was first released to Master levels, then 30 after an hour or 2, then 25 and so on until keys were completely exhausted. So at AWA apparently once Master Bronze (4.5k ARP) is reached there seems to be no more motivation for raking ARPs.

On Opium Pulse, you gain 10 points (login + load a game on the arcade, playing not totally necessary). There is a giveaway section (chance) where there are cheap games for free entries daily and points spending to enter some bundled games. Alternatively you can also rake in the points slowly and try to exchange them for some game guaranteed after 1 year? I personally can't be very bothered with that site, gave up after using for a week and don't recommend them.

There are better sites out there I found doing some digging previously, still I don't personally use them as the rewards to time spent doesn't cut out for me. I will probably share them once we have the steam group done. Some sites when multi-accounters know about them it becomes a mess so if they already knew it good for them otherwise I wish not to promote them in this fashion. Just look at LootBoy :ROFLMAO:
I'm very happy about the resurrection of the STEAM group idea :)!

One of the benefits of such a closed group that I can see would be that you can drop keys in a group discussion without worrying that bots will snatch them! Another one is that a group can be present on Steamgifts and it will be easier to create giveaways with the random winners without a need to use external rafflers (of course, for those who would like to create them there).

However, I got one suggestion - co2no, please consider making two groups instead of one - IG Gamers Lair Companion Group (or whatever it will be called), more open to everyone, and IG Gamers Lair, a more closed one, an invitation to which will be sent only to "verified" members, who are trustworthy, or only to those who are gifters to the community, or whomever you choose. It would be nice to be able to choose to "whom" we would like to give something...

Definitely a great idea. It would be nice to have useful features right here on IG, but unfortunately everything is still in short steps.

I had somewhat of a same plan yaromirro and you talking about this sure makes me think this could be a good area to go with. I was thinking 2 closed group, 1 more exclusive then the other only when all/half or at least a good number of members in that group agrees that the new joiner should go be allowed in. Another group could be to deter multi-accounters and whatnot. Say if we do a open to everyone giveaway they can still be continued here without any restrictions. So 3 levels in total

1 - Groupless (as what has always been done). I know some gifters don't mind where the keys go else they wouldn't have used keydrops
2 - Selected (with strict deterrence on multi-accounters)
3 - Exclusive

I've picked Sleeping Dogs: Definitive Edition
I believe this game key might have region restrictions but I could be wrong. Steam is now doing more and more of these 😅

Thx for explaining. This explains why some keys wont unlock for me when they give away games.

As for other sites, time I can invest, game play is out of the question. But that's ok I'm not interested in lootboy or Opium Pulse.

Trainz Sim 12 is still challenge winnable I believe. I haven't seen a key for awhile but I believe there still are keys for them so no hurry to buy that ;)
Too late. Bought it :ROFLMAO:

consider making two groups
This is getting complicated 🤪 I suppose you know already, but I only found out recently that you can have group discussions in dm here (IG) like you can on Discord.

I dont give keys in there. I like to think my gifts are appreciated by the person I gifted it to rather than it being treated like a commodity to sell/trade. Sorry for those who I know this will offend but I'm not at all sorry I have this opinion.

As for groupless (as what has always been done) I thought that we will not abandon this forum, but it may be also an open group, that's a good idea. I thought that what you called Selected will be a Companion Group, a closed one of course, but more open for applications (with a quick scan to defer bots and multiaccounters). And as you said, "Exclusive" with acceptance voting on about new member, or accepting only someone very active here, or with an established history of giving away to this small community, or whatever you choose. I thought nearly the same as you :)
