i'm not an expert in web/network but i'm not sure this is a ddos attack, after all the other parts of the site are still operating...and indiegala is not a so big company
so, leading a ddos attack just for farming keys or leveling to 8 ? what a loss of time and effort :unsure:
if i was a hacker i will use a ransomware instead

i looked into the infos with the chrome dev tools and seen that IG is using akamai (cdn mode) and cloudflare

yeah, you're right again :)
but i'm thinking more about about a mismanagment of the database system/bad implementation, like too much people accessing the same ressources in the same moment (modifying a value when she's already use by an other process = writing error), i thing this could lead to the same type of message....(i'm not an expert in db managment too 🤪)

For this long? An the first time...I'd go with an attack first, there also the simple concept they tried locking down the GA section due to a upgrade or maintenance and all us stubborn bastards trying anyways caused a major crash lmao.

i'm next to be sure that indiegala web development team is provided by an external company (and not the same since the beginning, so the new company has to repair/patching the mess leaved by the precedent )

IG business is to be a store, anything non related to this primary business is not a priority, although GA's and forum are a great marketing tool for attracting future customers (like me when i landed here)

Compare that to Intel Extreme Graphics 2 is like comparing RTX 3090 Ti to Geforce 210. It lags even when running 2D titles like World of Goo and Plants vs Zombies.

That's why I was so happy to get a laptop with ATI 545v (equivalent to HD 5450 Desktop). 🤣 At least it could run 2011 titles at 20 to 30fps at low settings, even though at 90 degrees constantly. 🥵🤒🤧
