Ya, IIRC, except the hack system ones...may have been some rare ones that weren't. It was to conceal the fact they were burned either upside down or reverse than normal burners could do, which is why you needed a disc to load a disc (on PS2 at least), and couldn't correctly copy them in a PC.

I know its the case for PS2, not positive on PS1.
No, it was for dual layer PS2 DVDs. The data format on burned discs is different from that on pressed discs, so a simple copy didn't work.

I noticed that this is due to when I came here from a laptop to a PC. And how to change it is unclear, since I have an avatar without a gun in the settings.
You should override your avatar in Indiegala profile with local picture on laptop and PC too. Sometimes Steam profiles are not loaded correctly and your picture is changed to local one. I had this experience too.

It didn't happen only here. I was generally friendly towards you even when you got some replies based only on the war. You seem to forget you turned psychotic on me on discord calling me beggar and nobody and "stop writing shit" in a random rant because you didn't liked that a non Russian person can't follow anything in your discord server (teanslator is of no help) and just because you have 1 Eng channel doesn't void that the 99% of the server (including more than 10 pings a day) are ALL RU.. Meanwhile this was a response to your server invite after a pm about another ga server. So yeah, I consider you psychotic. And those 3 messages now mean nothing to me.

It's not about forgiveness but about change. As fir the "friends" part.. Only time will tell.. But a message with no actions means nothing

I don't believe this because it never showed before or used to be a problem.
Regardless. Contact support about it

Personally, I told you and then. I don't care
What I cared for was bullying a member based on your ga's and you attitude towards them (bragging with 0$ and just volume number means nothing. It also goes against EVERYTHING you just said)

Ooooon a side note for all 3. Nobody can force you out. Some like some, others no. I don't believe a single word based on your actions. I'm not a judge.. Time will tell.. But you've shown maaaaany times you aren't capable of not lying and not understanding how awful some of the things you say and do are.
And this had NOTHING to do with games..
Oh, fyi, you NEVER talk games.. Only a bit about Ultima if I'm not mistaken and ooonly to "defend" your nickname..
And what love of games? What do you even play? You come bragging for your "life" yet not a word of ANY game you played.

You are exhausting though.. I'm in no mood to discuss this.. And I seriously don't want to read another pointless fake text.. TRY to DO better.. Not to write better bs.. You've said toooo many inappropriate things over time
Did you write to me in discord? Can you write again in private messages? A lot of people write to me there. Some people just bother me with questions without stopping. I just might not have realized it was you. About everything else - I said everything I wanted. I don't want to fight and argue with anyone anymore.

I decided I want to do a giveaway here for one of my spare keys. I used a random number generator to choose a game from my list, and the result was 🥁drumroll🥁: LEGO Marvel Super Heroes! If you would like a chance to win this game, please check out the rules below. I might do this again periodically, but we'll see how this one goes first!

Rules:
1. To enter, simply react to this post with the "Wow" face (😲).

a. If you don't want to enter, but want to react to this post anyway, please choose a different icon to avoid confusion!
b. If you want to enter, please be sure you choose the "Wow" face and not one of the other ones.
c. Do NOT reply to this post to enter. I don't want to spam the board!
d. Again, when I choose the winner, only "Wow" reactions will be considered.
2. In roughly 24 hours, give or take a little bit, I will draw the winner and announce the result. To choose the winner, I will generate a random number on the website random.org. Then I will count down the list of "Wow" reactions until that number, and that will be the winner! Not the most scientific method, but that's how I'm gonna roll this time. If there's a better way, I might try something different next time if I do this again.
3. If you win, please please PLEASE activate the key to your own account. I don't even care if you never play it, but I don't want this key to end up in the Giveaways section or in some random keyshop or something like that. I'm doing this giveaway so that someone can add a game that they want to their collection.

With that out of the way, good luck to all! Please feel free to reply with any questions or concerns. I'm probably gonna sleep soon, but I'll check in again in the morning when I get to work. ✌️
Probably gonna draw this in about an hour or so, in case anyone wants to get in a last-minute entry. As of now we have 26 participants I think, so that's pretty decent odds for everyone. Much better than a Level 0 Giveaway, that's for sure!

OK, we have a winner! There were 26 total entrants, and the random number generator came up with #8. As mentioned in the rules, counting down the "Wow" list to the 8th person gets us none other than ... 🥁drumroll🥁 ... Man of Sorrows (@chimera.1)! I'm actually not sure how to tag, haha, I hope that worked! Congrats! Does this win now make you Man of (Slightly Fewer) Sorrows? I'll message you the key in a second.

Thanks for participating everyone, even if you didn't win this time! Everything seemed to go pretty painlessly, so perhaps I will do this again at some point!

Lets all move on from this subject .
PLEASE. The last 20 pages of this thread have been so tiring to follow.

To lighten things up:
Happy Friday, I want to thank Dark Nugget for an item off my wish list!

Speaking of gifted games, I just recently beat Evoland which Vinka Zec had gifted me a while back. I really enjoyed it! It's such a creative approach to game design - adding a little bit of history through each step. Almost felt like something you would/should be able to play at a video game museum. It had everything that makes RPGs fun and you could tell the dev put a lot of care and effort into it. Seriously, if you're a fan of Zelda, Final Fantasy, Tales, etc. give it a try.
Speaking of RPGs - my favorite? Baten Kaitos - a beautiful, deep, and memorable gem for the Gamecube. I'll never forget the twist about 40 hours in.

Lately, because I'm a completionist and it's hard to find the time to sink into long games while balancing work and life, my favorite genre has become any game that's unique and short ;) Some games I've beaten over the last couple months:
Manual Samuel - A comedy point and click that borrows inspiration from the infamous QWOP.
Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons - I'm a huge fan of mythologies like the Norse, so I played this and didn't expect to be hit in the feels.
Koral - A beautiful educational game about the ocean that you have to bring back to life.
Donut County - You play as a growing hole in the ground. Seriously. It's amazing.
In Other Waters - One of the most unique games I've played. You're a scientist on an alien planet exploring and cataloging the flora and fauna. It's a text-based adventure that blends sci-fi, exploration, mystery, and futurology seamlessly. Give it a shot.
These are in addition to Gone Home and In Sound Mind which I've recently chatted about here.
All of the above are short and unique and have left lasting impressions on me!

Recently I've been playing Ballpoint Universe Infinite, which Loco gifted me, but about 8 hours in I ran into a game-breaking bug :( I've been trying to find the energy to restart it, but I think I may move on to something new. I've been chipping away at Lyne (thanks Valeyvonne!) so I may focus on that.

Anyway, hope this shifts things a bit!

Reply to this with some games you've played recently, genres you like, or any recommendations you may have for me!

Then act instead of watch...I can't believe people actually have the balls to complain about us trying to eliminate the problem and not enough to get involved when its happened 🐔

These posts I won't be ignoring...if your gonna talk, be a voice for resolution, not a whiner about the people who are trying to be. Your pages, omfg 😱 ...and how would they be if I just continue instead of trying to find a solution?

You and SpyroSlayer, no respect at all. This is plain fucking insulting to me.

Grow a pair (or not if your female)...course lucky has more balls than most around here it seems.

If ALL you care about are KEYS, we have another forum for that and these lootboy codes don't fall out of thin air, learn to check (y)

If you don't mind games like Brothers hitting you in the feels, try Rakuen. I thought it was a phenomenal game - story, music, visuals, etc. It's a real testament to what can be done with RPG Maker when someone actually puts in the effort.

I want to thank klingki for the draw and for the game. It's so nice to win unexpectedly. 🥰
