You've already got a bunch of great suggestions here, so I might add a few things to think about in case it's helpful. (Of course, feel free to ignore this if it's not useful!)

One is you might ask her why she dislikes video games or what she doesn't like about them. It could give you an idea of stuff to steer clear of or things to aim for (for example, I tend not to like competitive or pvp games, so I go for cooperative games or solo stuff). And if she doesn't like video games in general, then things like vn, walking sims, games based on tabletop games, or puzzle games might be a better fit.

Another thing to think about is why you'd like her to get into gaming. If it's just that games bring you joy and you think she'd feel the same if she tried the right ones, then definitely asking her more about things she enjoys is a good move. I find that the kinds of books and movies I really get into give me hints about games I'd like (in my case, almost anything that isn't horror :eek::ROFLMAO:). But if the reason you want her to try gaming is because you'd like to play games with her, maybe think about cooperative games you'd enjoy where it's still fun if she's not very good to start. When my sister plays games with her bf, they'll do stuff where they're a team and he can do most of the work for both of them, since he's a big gamer. Or they do stuff they're both bad at and just don't take it seriously.

Anyway, just a lot of blabbering from me in case there's anything there that helps. Oh and to add to the list of individual game suggestions, Stardew Valley and A Hat in Time are my two. You might also check the free games and demos out there first (gog has a whole section on their site), just as an easy way for her to try some different things out. Hope it goes well!

OK, giveaway time! I think my last one worked out OK, so I'm gonna do this one the same way, except I'm gonna do 3 games instead of just 1!

I used a random number generator to choose the games from my list of spare keys, and the results were 🥁drumroll🥁:
1. Dead in Vinland ( :( )
2. Wizard of Legend ( 😲 )
3. Just Die Already ( 😡 )

Here are the rules:

1. To enter, simply react to this post with the face next to the game you want (sad, wow, or angry).
a. If you don't want to enter, but want to react to this post anyway, please choose a different icon to avoid confusion!​
b. Since you can only react to the post once, it means you can only enter for one game, so choose wisely! This should give everyone pretty good odds for the game they pick.​
c. Do NOT reply to this post to enter. I don't want to spam the board!​
2. In roughly 24 hours, give or take a little bit, I will draw the winners and announce the results. The winners will be chosen randomly.
3. If you win, please please PLEASE activate the key to your own account. I don't even care if you never play it, but I don't want the keys to end up in the Giveaways section or in some random keyshop or something like that. I'm doing this giveaway so that people can add some games that they want to their collections.
