I was going to post this earlier, but the rain kept knocking out my internet, and then I had to play catsup :ROFLMAO: on the LAIR.

I'm making a bit of an effort to play games that were sent to me, and decided to do a mini-review for Final Slam 2 (sent to me by Legolas (y))

Mini Review:
The game doesn't have controller support, but I have an app. for that.

The game has 4 different VS. Modes
Player 1 VS. CPU/CPU VS. Player 2/Player 1 VS. Player 2/CPU VS. CPU

A list of things that the game has:
Cool little Anime-style intro, nice touch.
4 different Play Modes, Final Slam/Versus/Story Mode/Simulation
Character Creator "Create your own Final Slammer" (you can even name them)
Tutorial (just pictures and text, not a playable tutorial) this was helpful to learn some basic stuff before I jumped into playing the game.

I jumped straight into Versus Mode and just kept fighting the same Player 1 VS. CPU opponent, I left the levels on Random, but you can select a specific level for the fight.

The game felt a bit "stiff" like Mortal Kombat games on SNES (stiff movement), that's not really a bad thing though because we're all used to that feeling during a beat-em-up game. Overall I had fun with this game, I liked the Indie aspect, and the art style was unique with various levels to play in, characters also have special moves, my character had a roundhouse kick. I think you're supposed to discover the button combos for your special moves without a Guide (even when I click Guide on the Community Hub, there's nothing there, so that's a fail :().

This game got a lot of hate (Bad Reviews + complaining on the Community Hub) personally I think it would be worth about 25 cents during a Steam Sale, glad I got it for free though. It's good if it's free, it's bad if it's full price. I'll definitely play it more though! :D
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Controls (plus small rant about Gamepad Software)
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Player 1:
WASD + G = (Punch) H = (Kick) J = (Grab)
Player 2:
Arrow Keys + [ = (Punch) ] = (Kick) \ = (Grab)
(Player 2 uses The 3 keys to the right of the letter P on keyboard)

I was able to setup XBOX 360 gamepad using a Steam program called "Controller Companion" I even managed to setup the Left Trigger to take Screenshots during gameplay (Screenshots taken with ShareX, because Steam Overlay fails with this game, F11 wont take screenshots).

I couldn't think of a way to setup Player 2 using "Controller Companion" because of the limitations of that program, it's possible with a different program though, I have one called "JoyToKey" that does this just fine. That wasn't necessary, however that is something I don't like about "Controller Companion" also you can bind the thumbstick to WASD or ARROW keys but you can't specifically bind each Direction to any key you would like, but you can with "JoyToKey".

Photos & Short Story (Part of the review, but Spoiler Tag used to protect Forum from Scroll Hell)

First I got a 4 hit combo on him, then he blocked my chest-level kick, then he punched me so hard I flew back and came crashing down onto the cement. In the end he shot me dead

Then I got my revenge
Final_Slam_2_Pic02.jpg
We fought in a cemetery (he won)
Final_Slam_2_Pic03.jpg
We fought in a building (I won)
Final_Slam_2_Pic04.jpg
We fought in a jungle, he taunted me by slapping his butt, so I kicked him in the face.
Final_Slam_2_Pic05.jpg
Final_Slam_2_Pic06.jpg
I beat him up in a garage parking lot
Final_Slam_2_Pic07.jpg
Cemetery fight, you can see him shooting his gun (I won)
Final_Slam_2_Pic08.jpg
Final_Slam_2_Pic09.jpg
Final_Slam_2_Pic10.jpg

In the end, he won 10 times, I won 5 times.

Adding that one to my list haha...reminds me of old school MK almost exactly (except a little less graphic perfect, but thats to be expected)

One side note:

You can use the key layout you just gave above and map the controller right in steam, you just map the gamepad buttons to the keyboard...you can even setup multiple types of joystick styles for the movement (so you'll have ⇓⇒ ⇐⇑ etc) or just use the D-Pad and map it to the arrows, but you can actually set it to the analog without much trouble ;)

EDIT:

Ironically I've bet on it in the GAs quite a few times and just never lucked out.

I tried Final Slam 2 too last year. I was curious to try it despite some bad reviews. I liked the big character customization and you can create your own moves too. I created a Van Damme character, it is pretty fun to create whatever you want in the game. There is a tournament mode too where fighters fights randomly. I think it is fun game for its small price (free for us), I didn't play for long but it is ok for few hours of randomness :)

Thank you for the information :)
I hope this selectection system will allow users to have more chance to get the game.
I'm still not sure which one to pick, I will check better gameplays, but at the moment I would go with the first one.
