TL;DR- Hit the ignore button or just laugh at 'em, use the emote if you want but don't reply at all. Report if it goes too far.

None of us are mods here. The best we can do is report someone thats being "bad" (not sure thats the right word for these users) and wait for actual mods to step in, and maybe also collectively hit the ignore button aswell.

I only hit ignore on the phishing/spam bots that usually show up, but these other ones you should just ignore by not even acknowledging them in the first place, have you never seen an internet troll? Don't feed them.

And this might just be me, but why would anyone be that bothered by this? Its just a random asking for games, if they can't bother making an account and "socializing" before asking for games or making a post on the community wishlist, thats something that should immediately raise some red flags for you that that is not someone you want to interact with.

I don't see this as much of an issue, its really easy to ignore.

You can sometimes see a more innocent version of this in some giveaway pages too where some users ask for the game/to be the winner even though its already in a giveaway and you can't pick who wins it, but who knows maybe sometimes the giver can have an extra key or even some other random notices the post and has a key he/she won't be using so they give it, but thats not very likely.

I am sorry, but harassment is not an issue? What?

@RETRO What are you saying? 🤔 You got multiple accounts? ...and one of them got banned? :( Even I'm confused. 😵
I'm sorry Vinka, I have nothing to do with this one. :) I've reported Lucius and luccuus; hope it helps you.

You should also report yourself, Bobô/01agetro, since you're the one who started this.

lucius.1.2.3.4.5.6.7 sounds an awful lot like you. Another one of your fake accounts?

Thats what the "Report if it goes too far." bit is for.
I am referring to this part of your message "but why would anyone be that bothered by this? Its just a random asking for games... I don't see this as much of an issue, its really easy to ignore".
That person even wrote openly that they extort games in exchange for leaving Vinca alone. They also apparently got Vinca's gmail address. You can go to jail for harassment. Or get a restraining order. It's not a just an annoying thing, it's super creepy at the very least. Especially when it keeps happening.
Reporting is the right thing to do, I agree with that.

Since Vinka is mostly gone from the forums, I don't think we should be too concerned with trying to "protect" her. I doubt whoever this clown is knows her gmail address.

Last time I talked to Vinka, she mentioned that she has a recently changed strong password and 2-factor authentication enabled on her phone. I don't think she's at risk. She sounded pretty security savy. In any case, it's a moot point, because she's not around anymore.

I only replied to that other user because it sounded like they think harassment is not a big deal. Which I found appalling. That's all.

so are you saying it's time to make use of our detective skills and baseball bats? ;)
"let it burn"

See this is what annoys me personally.. Here aren't just newbies.. Supposedly we know who is who (atleast the damn nickname) and are a "community". Friends or no, acquaintances, convenience, however you wanna call it the lair is for the "community"..
Keydrops on the other hand isn't.

We come here to chat.. Differently we wouldn't be here or we'd be only in keydrops. Heck even the "fake" interested people need to chat to be in the lair even for visibility reasons..
But trying to hide every problem under the rug because "we aren't mods" or "we can't do anything" isn't a solution.. You SEE a profile threatening someone regardless of it's an actual threat.. You'd want to socialize with that person? No.. So why leave him alone and quiet? I usually try to throw out those people by causing enough of a fuss to make admins notice.. Differently it's "abandon ship".. And that's stupid.
Obviously none of these matter if you view this forum as a key supplier and not a community..
