What are you talking about?
Graphics of the first game are obsolete, it's controls were pretty much horrifyingly awful and still are.
If it'll look/play like the third one or even better than there's actually a point in doing remake.

The gameplay of the original is horrendous. I don't see why they would go through so much trouble to remake that game if it will play like the original.
I would think a lot of people would expect better combat in a remake.
If they do intend to keep the combat similar to first game, I hope they market it properly. Otherwise there are going to a lot of initial negative reviews just for that.

Look at Scorn. A lot of people simply thought it was focused on first person shooting with survival horror. They thought shooting would be an important element.

that's strange 'cause I was following Scorn's development almost from day one and...it never was never marketed as a shooter and the emphasis was always on atmosphere and visuals, not on DYNAMIC GAMEPLAY. It even has no multiplayer.

Yeah, I signed up for the free trial of the premium membership. Even though I haven't paid anything, I can still claim all the stuff I want. If they keep adding lots of games, it would certainly be worth the price (in my currency, anyway).

Mainly cause it suddenly got a lot more attention just before release.
People probably saw short clips or screenshots of guns on twitter or other media. It had mixed reviews on steam at first. Now it has mostly positive reviews.

SCORN is only a puzzle game. It's not FPS. And what combat it has, is very clunky. There are several good review. I don't know if you dislike IGN, but it is a good spoiler-free review.
