pos, BurningPixels and LuckyStrike1305, let's talk it out, 'cause this game is amazing!
I remember how while playing it through emulator around 7-8 years ago I've choose to look up none of the walkthroughs, but it was pretty easy to lost there, so I literally drew a map of the overworld on multiple a4 canvases with all the towns and locations.
This game has magnificent, wonderful story with a blend of sci-fi and fantasy, neat anime design in characters/enemies and superb soundtrack.
Also... consider this a major spoiler, but one of the main characters will die after the first half of the game, and it was out of nowhere. I was literally crying, just like many of us cried about

SO...have any of you already played Phantasy Star IV? What do you think about this game?

I always wanted to play that saga, but never played. I will do for sure one day. It is nice mix between fantasy and futuristic jrpg. That game is in the sega mega drive and genesis classic collection, I have some games from that but not all collection (in past they give some of them for free). I got Shining Force 1 from that collection which I replayed last year. I love it so much, I'd like to replay 2 and 3. I got all 3 boxed on real mega drive.

Ahah me too in the past I had to write down on paper tricks but most of all I take not of passwords for save games and fighting games moves.
There is the dungeon crawler rpg Etrian Odissey on nds that has the feature you can draw the dungeon map on second screen, that is very useful feature all game like that should have.

What country do you use? I use Switzerland and I got no problem here.
