I think that's Valve's games (TF2, DOTA, etc.). When you add them to your library they don't show up, you need to install them first before you can idle them.
If a game shows up on your library (without being installed) you're fine to go. Just check your profile to see if it says that you're "playing" the right game.

It worked in the past, but stopped working ... and yes, the Steam-profile is linked and public.

I've been playing KartRider Rush+ and I wanted to post an update, last time I unlocked Puppy Pouncer (Permanently) and now I've unlocked the other dog that you can use as a vehicle, this one is called Fenrir Rover and he looks a little bit more robotic than the other dog, still cool though. I unlocked him (Permanently) for about 24,000 K-Coins, there's currently only 2 dogs, so it's a complete collection. 
Here he is in my garage mid-burst.
Now that there's no more dogs to obtain, I've set my goal on what I believe to be the most expensive car in the game.
It's called Lodi Albert Classic and it costs 6,400 Batteries, I currently have only 575 Batteries, so that's going to be a grind to get it, note that some things can be bought with Batteries or K-Coins, but the Lodi Albert Classic can only be bought with Batteries which are harder to get.
I put a few pictures in the spoiler below, the game keeps giving me Temporary Unlocks (cars that you can use for 3 or 7 days only) I currently have Lodi Albert Classic for 4 more days (was 7) and Gold Dao (the Male Racer character, he's unlocked for 14 days) Gold Dao courtesy of WhatNitrous (Amazon Prime goodie, thanks bro!)
Dao is a main character who normally wears blue, he's comes free with the game, the Gold Version is a Special Version that you can't really buy, but maybe you can unlock him during special events. Anyways, the 3rd picture is Tiger Dao, that is a Version that you can buy, and so I'm planning to buy him with K-Coins (Tiger Dao = 3 days @800 K-Coins/10 days @4800 K-Coins/Permanent @19000 K-Coins) I have a little more than 10,000 K-Coins right now and I refuse to purchase Temporary Unlocks, the game keeps giving me those anyways (cars and characters both).

Sometimes some free games don't appear like you have them, on their page, it shows you have them, but on your Steam client you can't see them. You have to run them properly once before it can be idled.Thanks!
