Well, in fairness they may be right about me having a virus, I don't even bother checking anymore because i'm so locked down with so many backups all it could do is delete a few games at this point.

Maybe they're pissed about my 'Bottomless Prime" comment, which i actually meant as a thank you for playing Robin Hood for the rest of the forums--even though I didn't need the keys.

Who knows...but if your going to insist without question your absolutely sure your right, don't back down when someone gives you the opportunity to prove your point.

Their team is good, their product is shit, its slow...takes massive resources, and pretty much sucks.

They recommend Avast for iOS PCs and generally MalwareBytes for Windows--except its not free for the great feature it has, real time monitoring of web browsing.

Let me make life simple for you.

Norton - Truly prevents direct hard drive access, the thing most dangerous malware actually use to encrypt and hold your drive ransom in the first place...its not perfect, but its not easy to avoid either...as well as intruders over the internet at least as far as I am aware.

They have THE BEST self-protection module in existence as far as not having the Anti-Virri itself getting jacked, no question.

MalwareBytes - Best for web surfing, it will prevent 'most' malware from ever touching your PC or even loading the page--granted its actually been discovered before.

So it will stop all second hand fake hax0rs using someone else technique down the road, but not the payload the actual author sends out themselves LONG before that happens and it get found.

Avast - Has a pretty cool fucking Pirate Voice included and its good for a chuckle, but its also trash, it not only steals its virri database from norton and even makes a fucking norton folder when it does but its also a monopolized company, if you download the Android versions of AVG and Avast, you will literally see the exact same program.

McAfee - The crazy ass original owner was actually brilliant, but he bailed long ago and now its literally paying a company to slow down your computer pretending its working...nothing more.

Kasperky fits in with either Avast or McAfee, I can't remember if its another droid clone off hand but it has proven completely useless in every attempt I have ever made to use it.

I made a like twelve line program that would delete every file on a PC like an old deltree in Visual fucking Basic 10 and neither of those four caught it, no tricks, no encryption, no hard coded compiler usage.

AVGs Internet Security fails on a regular basis before the trial even ends...so maybe its actually AVG ripping off Avast who is ripping off Norton and not the other way around, but potato pototo.

Now it gets really ugly...

Because they've all existed for so long they are almost all useless, you might as well save yourself some money and max the security warning on Windows Defender, you'd likely get better results...until you go insane from popup dialogs and kill yourself

MalwareBytes is worth it on sale just for a hope it catches a site before a problem, Norton if your seriously concerned about your files.

But the only two half safe methods on the planet are common sense and making one yourself that nobody knows how to find so they can't find out how to work around it

Bunch a BS, probably made up by someone like me who is just pissed its useless in the first place lmao.

I'm with him as a best bet...but for the most part its still a hope and pray situation.

is just something for being secure when doing things, agains malicious urls and malicious download/ archives, per example, when i used to ( forgot the word again) get games for free, id get a lot of problems on win and usually get virus, or even downloading some rooms, or acidentally downloading a wrong file with virus( some sites are fckd and have ads exactly the same way as the download)


basically i do all things on my pc, like using my personal data ( id from my country) , buying things, and now i play a good nft game more to play than to earn( sunflower land), i just don't want to lose nothing or be infected.

ik the best anti virus is me, but sometimes i need to download things that idk if is secure or not( room).

i recently searched for emulator that emulate the new nitendo console( forgot the name), so that i can play pokemon arceus and other games, but idk if the emulator is secure nor the roms( i stopped download things from torrent too)

when i stopped downloading those things without thinking, got less windows corruption, my pc doesnt become slow anymore, but i'm not rich to buy nitendo console nor games XD.

also i want a antivirus that doesn't make me stop playing because it steals all ram

Unfortunately, I'm still having problems with my internet and today has been a particularly crap day as they blocked my calls and data while they admit fault...... Tomorrow it will probably get resolved (or I'll be on a cat rampage XDDD) bu5 for tonight I've only got ~100-200 MB left.

Depending on an antivirus is all fine and dandy unless someone goes after you specifically (as a person, as an account, as a pawn in some company (like sony, ubi, etc).. Nothing is safe in either rl or internet 100%.

Buuut that doesn't mean that a simple antivirus can do much.. There is a reason databases should be updated every 2 days max aaand that they fail in doing so

That's as far I as a commoner can go.. I understand the philosophy behind it but not the technicalities
