Maybe some have both bed and honey but, yeah... A long time ago I decided I don't care how weird my beliefs or political opinions are to people on the internet. I'm here to chew bubble gum and relax and I'm all out of bubble gum.
How about some pixie dust sticks?

As funny as this is, I literally hate my own country, I don't vote, I don't give a rats ass where anybody is from, I have zero church based religion, and I could honestly be friends with somebody who was painted fucking purple.

But I do have my integrity, my balls, and my word...and those I'll stand by as long as I'm breathing, even if someone tries to stop me from breathing for doing it.

I'll try in caveman english, if you don't mind.

- Ry-something guy has small computer that eats little energy and is always-on (even when sun falls from sky)
- tiny computer runs ArchiSteamFarm (or similar program) and make bot that trades cards
- to trade cards you need mobile authentication
- Archisteamfarm implements mobile authentication protocol
- tiny computer goes brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr automatically without caveman interaction
- caveman can hunt and poop (and mayhap scam) in peace, while cards are traded automatically
I don't like the sound of this.. The middle of this sounds bad

Caveman English understood! Thanks :D
missed this, I feel the need to put this on an understandable level for you...he was actually trying to learn programming from one of those 'visual placement to visible code' programs.

I agree as far as scams...which is what shocks me so much about peoples desire to dive right in without a thought and trust anybody who has spoke 9 words to them...but learning the basics of coding is not likely going to help in this sense, plain common sense is more useful than an elementary degree of programming knowledge because most malicious code is made to seem complex even when it doesn't need to actual be complex.

Learning to program in a basic sense might help you know what could be done or what to consider, but your not going to have enough knowledge at that level to truly read it in reverse (which is much harder by the way, because its not yours)
Yeah.. As a simple user, trying to understand WHAT is a scam and approximately how it works, has helped me a lot.. I will never learn to code.. Let's face it.. Not enough interest or patience or time.. But the concept I can understand

Writing several walls of text that no one read is not a struggle, it's just several walls of text that no one read. You are not being answered not because you so effectively shut someone up, but because it is simply not interesting to anyone and will not lead to anything, except for a few walls of text. Which no one will read.
Just return the thread to its usual course.
Can I ask a simple question?
Why not just.. Skip them? If you mind them..
Others did and commented games, sales, ga's without a problem by the "spam"
That's normal.. Like in rl, you can "ignore" something but you can't stop its existence..

I don't believe in "cancel culture"
There are many "Chinas". Two most well-known are PRC (Banana Republic of China) and ROC (Republic of China or Taiwan) and all of them think that "historical Chinese lands and water" should belong to China. Kuomintang of ROC even claim the whole of Mongolia and most of Russian Far East as their territory. Sounds familiar?
China has NO real democracy, no matter the wording
Anyone here are free to express their views and opinions without the fear of being jailed (or in this case banned). But that doesn't exempt their opinions from being criticized and ridiculed.
You didn't criticized anything of value thought.. The issue wasn't and isn't the war but the insult of someone as a Nazi of all things..
ll go first. Please bear with me
100 years later a ghost appears with a story.. XD
That also leaves the question of can you even find the books in another language that are not just translated versions, from good sources I mean 🤔
There is a reason professional good translations are paid a lot even to this day with so many programs

You can't change an idiot.. You can only hope to "protect" or "help" a shadow.. And you wouldn't believe the amount of shy "thanks" I've heard over time..

Another one who wants to be a smart ass, If your gonna shoot anything, point at your foot, cause I won't be talking to you.

And to answer your question anyways, its not my particular area as I've stated before quite clearly...same as I've said that nobody could possibly be skilled in every aspect of coding when was it? Yesterday?

Your just a dirt begging douche bag, you think we don't know who keeps coming around trying to trade for dirt my friend?

That would be your accounts. Now kindly shut the fuck up snake.

I admit, I am a total coding dumbass. I don't understand half of the convo here about those languages.
But what a crime to think you might know something about web dev or might be able to point the way to someone in that area.
I was not insulting you. I looked up to your expertise. All you had to say is it's not your field. Instead, I get verbally assaulted. Looking at it again, i get it, the way I phrased it is easily misunderstood. So I'll be an adult, admit my fault, and apologize. I was wrong. I'm sorry. I should have chosen my words much more carefully. No DM's without permission first, got it.

I know you're dealing with idiots in other places of this forum, and some of them deserve these tirades, but please be mindful of others. A lot of people have not posted here lately, and now I understand why. They don't want to deal with this s#$t. Saying one wrong thing and becoming the target of sticks and stones. This is not how adults should behave on this forum.

I thought gamer's lair was a place to get away from the real world. A haven from reality.
Nope, it's like being in my abusive family's home. Just how dad used to talk to me. Sigh.
If my signature bothers you that damn much I'll delete it. Jesus Christ, dude. I am not your enemy.

I hope everyone has a fantastic weekend, especially all ya'll lurkers waiting for this storm to blow over.

Here we go again, you do realize it was how you said what you said right?

I still haven't read your PM.

Go back and re-read your "master coder" statement and replace it with "master assassin" and then, "are you good at html, css" with "can you take down that base without getting noticed" and pretend your playing Assassins Creed.

it sounded more like "you suck, can you do this? I bet you can't"...
I looked up to your expertise.
In order to look up to my expertise, you would actually need to know what that expertise is.

The first thing an intelligent person learns is how little you actually know and how much you will never know.

I'm getting deje vu

I did and I apologized. You saw sarcasm when it was not intended that way. Again, I am sorry for offending you.
I still haven't read your PM.
Don't. I locked and left the convo. Forget it exists.

I mean this in the most respectful way possible: Lately, you are not the Nitrus we knew from the beginning. You are flying off the handle at everything. When you sense aggression, you punch really hard. And part of that is the poor behavior of some bad actors here that deserved it. But it's starting to create collateral damage. People are afraid of you. No one has dared to say anything so i am painting a target on my back by posting this, I know.

I say this as a "friend," at least a fellow Lair compatriot. Please tone it down. If we want this community to grow, give people the benefit of the doubt. There are a lot of people here with english as a second language. If you assume the worst from everyone every time, this place is going to be very lonely very quick.

I don't think it's weird. I hate it too. Well, not really a country, but basically the governments of every country in the world.

Already said I was on my way toward the exit, its already gotten lonely here for me.

Your right about my attitude, I mean...I've been smiling for three months through a struggle and still trying to give everything to this place. I've been spit on, reported now for a personal choice, the clowns never stop and intentionally draw a circus tent around them in see through plastic so they are continuously aggravating...your pointing your finger in the wrong direction.

If people cared for this place to grow and flourish they would stand up when it mattered, if I wasn't standing alone maybe half these problems would be gone...and people should have no reason to fear me, I've GA banned a few from my own pocket.

oh dear god no. If that scares people then they already got some fucked up priorities about the reason they hang around here.

I haven't even had the means to attack a user if I decided I wanted too for three months nor have I tried to hide the fact.

So what do they fear? Losing a free game?

They are here for the wrong reason then...it is part of the lair, but its not what the lair should be about. Hell, henry created a giveaway arena just for this purpose.

And I hate this saying personally because someone said it to me IRL and the situation is extremely different, but I'm going to say it anyways because you literally can.

"Read the room", did that seem like a good time to go asking me to do anything at all, never mind it being related to programming lol.

I mean seriously.

That was what I meant...bad wording on my part there.

Which actually brings up the entire point again, its not a person in the country, our hands are practically tied. its the rulers of a country.

I did miss this, I apologize for that.

An to answer your question fully, I have no way to even run test code in a browser without additional apps I don't want, same as I have no way to do much of anything right now.

So working on the site you mentioned wouldn't be possible for me to even attempt right now without additional garbage I don't want, I couldn't help if I wanted too...I can use html, script, etc. but I'm not sufficient enough to do it without at least trial and error, especially since its been awhile.

Having another user run my tests is not something I like to do in case something actually goes wrong...and with code it usually finds a way to go wrong no matter how much you try to prevent it.

But honestly that may be problematic as well (this actually made me hit the web to check ), since all the code is written in english and I can't find anything that points to region, language, or keyboard type making that any different.
That would be the interpreter/compiler/IDE problem, not his (luckly).

I doubt it would be an issue to translate just the text portions, I just translated a page from one of them back and forth and it was 'almost' exact, except that google decided to translate the code as well so you would want to avoid that and just do the text.
Brazilian has a certain cadence(?), I have no idea how well a machine translated technical jargon would be comprehensible for a native speaker without prior programming knowledge. Plus, it's a huge bummer keeping copy-pasting stuff to a translator. I know I'd get unmotivated.

I've obviously encountered the scenario where you need your program to translate for the end users region, but I have never even considered (or came across any subject in my reading) that the actual code you use might be typed in another language and still make sense to the compiler and IDE.

I'm going to take a wild stab in the dark and say it doesn't because I figure I would have crossed this possibility while coding external libraries and because it would be a mass amount of work and the world is f'kin lazy lol.

If I'm wrong I'd love to know, this actually piques my interest. Guess I'll have to change my computer language for a test run someday.
I've never had to deal with that myself. I'd imagine nowadays there are libraries that deal with locales and UTF conversions.
I vaguely remember something recently on github (maybe DS4Windows) that had a problem with one locale using "." instead of "," as delimiter. Or something to that effect.

That also leaves the question of can you even find the books in another language that are not just translated versions, from good sources I mean 🤔
Brazil is huge. I'm pretty sure there's native books that are well translated or written from scratch.
If Brazilian schools/colleges don't lock the slides from the introductory programming classes, they are probably indexed by Google. 😅
