Should be more like "The burden is off me" or "I'm off the hook" or "no harm, no foul" or "I'm gob smacked". You know, it's not like I'll use those untranslated proverbs all the time, but if you see that it makes no sense after translation just use Context.Reverso.Net
I'm not much for swimming against a raging river in a piece of shit...I rather go down niagara falls in a barrel tbh.
I have to admit, thats always had a certain "do it!" factor in my mind proof of insanity.
Damn it, I've missed everything again...bad tradition
Well, at least I've added one of those to my wishlist, 'cause I've never heard of it and it looks fun)
Thanks for the raffle and congratulations to all the winners!
What the fk up......................................
Whatnitrus give me key from soulblight and its region restricted, then Retro give me key and think its good for RU but again blocked, then Whatnitrus give me another key, say checked for RU - BUT NO AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Cadash and Michale Jackson's Moonwalker were the first two games I bought when I bought SEGA Mega Drive (Genesis) - and I was disappointed with both: Moonwalker wasn't the one we played on arcades but some boring side-scrolling game. And Cadash... They only allowed two classes - fighter and mage - no priestess or my favourite ninja.
Nice story! I remember when I was kid I was in vacation and I played for first time with Splatterhouse and just watching the intro for a little kid it was scary af, at that time there weren't horror arcade games like that.
Yeah, some games were mind-blowing. I remember the first time seeing Pit Fighter. It looked like the most realistic game ever - and it was for that time. To me, it looked better than Mortal Kombat 1.
So, since I'm now a storyteller
here is another arcade-related story I remembered - honestly, never thought that would be interesting to anyone except for us that experienced it.
I think I was 16 at that time. My girlfriend liked games though not all of them were interesting to her. It was a hot summer day and during summers, most of the arcades would move their games in the open, under the big tent. My GF was wearing a light, short white dress. And the wind started blowing. Her favourite game was Amidar and that machine was close to the entrance so when she started playing, the wind became stronger and lifted her dress. She didn't flinch, just shouted to me: "Hold my skirt!"
And I did, but, being a 16 yo teenager, every time she would lose a life, I'd pinch her ass under the dress. She was startled but kept her calm. I think she finished 4 or 5 levels before she lost all three lives. She laughed and said that I'm impossiblee but wasn't mad. Then she went to Moonwalker and she beat my record from the day before and said: "That's for pinching me!"
You don't notice do you...where is everyone else that used to be around? Retro, eox, jugglecuber, Freeman, jericho, klingk, yarro, etc...the list goes on.
To be straight up, while I very much dislike all of the arguing and political posts, that's not the reason why I'm not that active these days.
I'm a couple of weeks into a brand new job that I didn't really want to move to, and the whole situation has been pretty hectic and stressful for me, and honestly a bit depressing. I'm starting to adapt, but it hasn't been the happiest transition, and I haven't had as much free time lately.
