To be straight up, while I very much dislike all of the arguing and political posts, that's not the reason why I'm not that active these days.

I'm a couple of weeks into a brand new job that I didn't really want to move to, and the whole situation has been pretty hectic and stressful for me, and honestly a bit depressing. I'm starting to adapt, but it hasn't been the happiest transition, and I haven't had as much free time lately.
🤫 your not helping

Good to see ya though, and best of luck with the new job.

Keep us in mind when you got some game time...seems everyones finally settling down

Every year, in my hometown there is a traditional festival. For us kids that was a great time because every year Luna park would come to town with lots of stuff but, most importantly, with arcade games and pinballs. I remember we liked playing 1942. One of us would control the plane and another would shoot and do loopings. We were really good at that game and one rainy day we decided to try to reach the end if there is one.
We played probably two or three hours - four of us - we'd change when hands would start to hurt and one would go and buy new tokens every so often.
Now, as I said, it was ugly weather: rain and some wind. I was on the shooting button at that moment and one of my friends was piloting the plane. It looked like there was a brief power outage - less than a second - but the game worked and everything seemed fine.... except, after a minute or two, we noticed our plane is still fine - we can move it, we can shoot... but there are no enemies. We flew for 10 or 15 minutes more and then just gave up. We never found out if we reached the end and the game was bugged or if there was a power outage that caused all that.
That's such a neat story! As @whatnitrus said - such an awesome and crushing story all at once... Let's just go with you beat the game and it didn't know what to throw at your skills anymore
There is an arcade near my parent's house that has a 1942 cabinet. I will give it a try next time I go to visit them :)

Speaking of the 194X series, 1943 - The Battle of Midway is free when you add Capcom Arcade Stadium on Steam, and 1942 is available as DLC :)
There was an arcade punch out with gloves? Nice!!!
No punch out with gloves that I know of, but I meant the type of game (actually boxing vs those hitting bags that measure your force)
All this talk about arcades that we dont have where I am. Well I'd give my left ..... to own one of these DRS machines. VR (beat saber) and one of these? I love rhythm games and you guys would never see me again :ROFLMAO:
Sheesh... I LOVE watching people at the peak of their rhythm skills. So jealous haha
As kids, my friend had the Mario Dance Dance Revolution game. Played that so much we wore out the pad :( Now it goes for like $200...

I have no photos atm but in our cinema there're too a couple of arcade cabinets, one of 'em - the licensed Terminator shooter game, but not the old one. So, I guess, it's not exclusive to Japan and/or 80's/90's eras, but it's indeed few and far between.
Cinemas around me are always good for like 2-3 arcade games in the lobby. Sounds like it's a global habit
I have Joggernauts and Adventures of Chris for the record too, definitely don't need either of them.
You offering these out? Any chance I could snag Joggernauts? If not, I can try the Soulblight you've been trying to hand out :)
I think I was 16 at that time. My girlfriend liked games though not all of them were interesting to her. It was a hot summer day and during summers, most of the arcades would move their games in the open, under the big tent. My GF was wearing a light, short white dress. And the wind started blowing. Her favourite game was Amidar and that machine was close to the entrance so when she started playing, the wind became stronger and lifted her dress. She didn't flinch, just shouted to me: "Hold my skirt!"
And I did, but, being a 16 yo teenager, every time she would lose a life, I'd pinch her ass under the dress. She was startled but kept her calm. I think she finished 4 or 5 levels before she lost all three lives. She laughed and said that I'm impossiblee but wasn't mad. Then she went to Moonwalker and she beat my record from the day before and said: "That's for pinching me!"
Another great story :ROFLMAO:

By the way, i see there were shards in the calendar, i think the rune or whatever it is called is already at max with shards, but i can't find anymore where you equip all this, any idea ?
Did you already equip and upgrade the Twitch artifact to the max ?, If you did then you cant upgrade anymore until we get more fragments (Things we got today via the Calendar). We need 2 more fragments to upgrade it to the max again. (y)
