HI Eldi! When it was out I though it was like a fighting game like Street Fighter, yes the connection is pretty crazy and I would never wonder the main character was Ken until I read the plot on wiki.Hi BurningPixels, I never had the chance to play it, I had only seen it in rom listings in emulators and I would never have thought of that crazy connection with Street Fighter.
yea I know about the differences between SF2010 versions (stupid censorship), back in time, 2010 year looked like a very futuristic year and now it is only past *sigh*And for some reason Europeans got 'em too))
You can color me surprized, 'cause the last time I've checked EU region was even more censored back then than the US one (just remember Probotector, for God sake).
But it's not a spin-off. More like an offshoot of sorts.
I.e. just like with Konami's Arc Hound that became Contra Force in US just 'cause, same goes to this game.
Funny Fact #3: outside Japan game changed not only the protagonist's name (it's Kevin, not Ken) but also the title of the game, thus the game became Street Fighter 2010: The Final Fight.
