again, it's simple - in order to use the emulator and not break any rules, especially nintendo rules, you need to unsolder your console, dump your bios and operating system, then dump your cartridge, and then run it all on the emulator.
but I want to ask another question - why do you want to play the last game? there are many old and also interesting pokemon games where everything is much easier with emulation? I wouldn't recommend the game boy versions, but since gba times everything looked decent and played interestingly.
