I wouldn't say it's impressive - it's expected. Atari ST and Amiga 500 were powerhouses in gaming - PC couldn't compete until the 486 series and not even 16-bit consoles.
When talking about arcade cabinets, I remember the great one where you pilot a helicopter. The cabinet was more horizontal than vertical with the futuristic seat and steering wheel and joystick in front of you, while the monitor was placed away, at your legs (because you're completely seated).
Atari ST with only 8 bit was great, I didn't own it, but I always wanted to have instead Amiga 500 or C64 (I couldn't have all consoles unfortunally  ) I focused more on Nintendo and Sega consoles during the 8-16 bit era.

All STs were 16-bit - in fact, ST stands for "Sixteen/Thirty-two" - because the CPU had a 16-bit external bus and 32-bit internals. 8-bit Atari's have XE and XL in their name.

Great game Strider, I haven't played yet the reboot version, but I played the original one, I own the sega mega drive cartidge. The european smd version cover art has the character that is very different from the ingame don't like at all  the japanese version is better imho:
I think they're both terrible, I always thought he looked more Ninja gaiden style, maybe its me actually thinking of Ninja gaiden

I had to go check and its the new versions cover art that keeps making me think of that...and he moves so damn fast during the modern version you can barely tell unless you sit still unlike the classic game.

New cover art

The 4 item $1 bundle at HB has Strider Included, as well as MegaMan Legacy Collection, Lost Planet® 3 Complete, and Bionic commando Rearmed...I was unable to purchase a second lower tier bundle (I grabbed Tier 2 for the MegaMan games), or I would have hooked you up...but its in the Tier 1 bundle if your interested.
Cool I would be curious to see the final result of your custom arcade car :D
So would I...right after I rob a bank :ROFLMAO:

If it ever happens, I'll definitely drop some SS, but as sad as it is I can't even afford the fucking steering wheel, it'd probably be cheaper to find the seat at a junk yard lmao.
Nintendo did great with Wii controller it was a kind of modern zapper, they made the wii zapper that was bundled with Link's crossbow trainer:
One of the few consoles I never owned, gun does look pretty damn good, and Links Crossbow Trainer looks fun too, although I gotta figure its just a half game based on target shooting thats part of an actual game where you use the crossbow

Thing is I obviously want one for PC, and they're usually home made an pricey for a gun that'll likely break or fuck up your system entirely haha.

I had Area 51 for Playstation but since I never found a gun for the system I ended up trading it to my local dealer for either pot or acid, I don't remember :ROFLMAO:

I came across ONE gun that came with mass genre (mass effect) when the gamestop clerks tried telling me it was an RPG like final fantasy lol...but it looked like a space bazooka, not a gun.

I played The Strider on Atari ST a loooong time ago too !
I didn't even know that existed lol. Nice.

Say something. Blink if you're being held hostage.
He does have a point here...

Just won eXceed - Jade Penetrate Black Package. Can anyone explain to me why that title sounds like something I can find on Pornhub?

The new cover art is cool af!
Ninja games quite similar, there is even Shinobi game I think it is the very first one game I ever played in arcade room with Street Fighter (1). There were many ninja and karate/kung-fu games back in time.

I was looking for a Shinobi reboot and I found there was one for ps2, I missed because I didn't own that console. Don't know if is good or bad.
and look what I found: a Ninja Gaiden hacked rom with Leonardo from TMNT
Leo Gaiden

Yeah I already have Strider thanks (y)

WIi is great console and easy to hack too  I think you can find it for few bucks today.
Links crossbow is pretty fun, half is on rail shooting game and half you can control Link moving like in Zelda games in third person view.

I think someone may be more of a hardware geek than me...or an avid wiki fan. Hard to tell
I am a geek - especially when we're talking about retro gaming.

I think Shinobi was the first - before Ninja Gaiden or Strider. Played Shinobi in arcades quite a lot - another hard-as-hell game. Not quite like Ghosts and Gobblins, but not very far from it.

G&G was so hard, I couldn't play too much, the arcade machine was a waste of coins
Yes as far as I remember Shinobi was the first one. I'm remembering another good arcade ninja game
