after I get to playing KoTor

I'm fucking horrible, idk how people even find the time at our age...
Like this :)
What about Tarkovsky and his Solaris and Stalker?
this was unwatchable a million years ago.
Planeta Bur, Giperboloid inzhenera Garina, Mechte navstrechu, Ponedelnik nachinaetsya v subbotu...?
So, you literally listed all the fiction. Add there not so costly from the point of view of the decorations Ivan Vasilievich Changes Profession (Иван Васильевич меняет профессию), Dog's Heart (Собачье сердце) and KinDzaDza (Кин-Дза-Дза) and that's it. ALL. Plus a few children's sci-fi TV movies. I will try to remember literally all of them... beforementioned Visitor from the Future (Гостья из Будущего) plus two wacky (not direct) sequels - Lilac Ball (Лиловый шар) and Island of Rusty General (Остров Ржавого генерала) (wich no one watched), The Adventures of Electronic (Приключения Электроника), The Big Space Travel (Большое космическое путешествие) and Per Aspera Ad Astra (Через тернии к звёздам). So many sci-fi movies come out in a week.
UPD: Oh, yes, also Magicians (Чародеи).

I may not enjoy the black and white flicks these days (minus clerks lol), but i do love me a good movie.

I don't have that big of a dvd collection JUST to 🏴‍☠️ them, had to pay for the rental still

I actually just realized I'm at home with my PC now Google Snail and Info Steal can hang itself lol...but I can play on my rig and leave my phone on the charger next to me instead since I'm on HERE on my damn phone.

I'm still in a time warp where I'm trapped on someones couch 😅

EDIT:

If that was the case I wouldn't have these other concerns though.

Tell you one thing, all the worry in the world...and its all worth it for that slight amount of freedom (and I do mean slight) of having my own place.

As much as I might complain, its a million times better than being someones extra body.

Well, don't get me wrong, special effects are not that much needed there, and a lot was needed, but this is a boring arthouse movie about nothing.
Sounding like the walking simulator pete was raffling the other day.

ADHD exit stage left

I have some movie or another with brad pitt as the main role this reminds me of...for the whole minute and a half I was able to watch it lol.

Roads... where we're going we don't need roads.
So apparently the films take place in the same universe, only the soviet DeLorean looks like this:

Now I'm curious vic, what was your favorite movie (that you can recall) actually aired in your country without an outside influence being involved in your ability to watch it...every time you mention something great it was pirated or bought outside of where you lived, brought in, etc.

Was there anything you loved that didn't involve the outside world kicking down the border?

Truly loved, not shoved down your throat as a child...god knows that happens to us all.

Obviously, I don't agree with you. Between art and popcorn, I'll always pick art.

Well, there are more, but that's not important...

Now, there is one Soviet SF movie and I'm trying to find its title based on one scene. Maybe it's even in Solaris (I didn't watch it for a very long time so maybe I have forgotten) - there is that one scene where the main protagonist touches the TV screens and they all turn black.
Do you know that movie?
CTPAX, Dante - anyone from the former USSR?

I got a weird Windows fluke the other day...surprise surprise  that made me do a unnecessary system restore, can't even remember what stupidity went wrong this time i'm so used to it  but now my Megaman Legacy Collection 2 refuses to load, guess I gotta hop online an validate the files.

I have such a monstrous library actually 'installed', sometimes games literally just vanish from my Steam list without removing the files, I've had to verify 20GB+ games before that were just taking up space I had no idea weren't uninstalled at the time...I imagine if you had a small drive with minimal installations due to space constraints you'd notice this immediately...fortunately I don't have that issue...unfortunately it causes other issues like this one, and usually I don't need to do anything, it just happens heh.

Its a fucking trip when you find like a 22GB game sitting on your drive and not in your library that you don't even LIKE in the first place :ROFLMAO:

Truly loved, not shoved down your throat as a child...god knows that happens to us all.
But those were pirated copies, not pirated remakes (although that happened with books). Yes, there are some movies that I've been happy to watch many times (it's not that hard when there are only two channels on the TV and not the whole day), but if I start to choose the best at all, then it will definitely be Terminator 2, no way not 12 Chairs or The Missing Letter.
Obviously, I don't agree with you. Between art and popcorn, I'll always pick art.
Everything is fine, somewhere there must be those ten people watching Tarkovsky, von Trier, Bergman... and to them my interest in science fiction is as much a horror as those movies are to me.

I don't remember such a scene. need a little more context.

100% sure. It's like one detail got stuck in your memory and you know where, when and how but you can't precisely pinpoint it.
I remember as a kid watching a TV show about movies and they would have sort of "cycles" - like "The next five weeks, as part of this TV show, you can watch the best spaghetti westerns from the 1970s" or "The next six weeks we'll broadcast classic Hammer horror movies"... And this particular "cycle" was Soviet SF movies.

I watched all those movies many times after that but I'm not that much into movies last decade or so, but that one scene is making me mad because I can't place it in the right film without rewatching 10 or 20 titles.

It's hard to give more context because then I would know what movie it is. I think the hero has a moustache. Maybe he came back on Earth after being in space for a long time? My memories are blurry, honestly. But him, touching TV screens and those screens turning black was something that I remembered.
And of course I like Bergman. But I also love Hammer Films and horror.
