I feel that, like I said I don't let my CPU or GPU temps even hit "normal" max, my GPUs default temp for Burning color temp is 83, I set it down to 70, and have the GPU throttle itself if it hits 75

Technically 150 degrees or so rather than 165...I was told by one of the top dogs at EVGA that the anything above 182 was the point of it becoming a risk...I don't like risk in my PC lol.

Some people run their CPU to about 80 degrees as well, again its the point my motherboard says it too hot, I have my PC set to auto shutdown if it reaches 75, I barely get it above 60-65 on something like the benchmarks I just ran with it maxed out but not overclocked.

In truth, benchmarking is almost as bad as overclocking...every time you push something (hell, everytime you use it) its wear and tear just like a car, doing it at such an extreme all the time takes it toll...especially if you do it often.

I sometimes use it to warm the CPU up in the cold ass winter since a freezing CPU is actually more likely to die than a burning one

My GPU has actually melted my fucking fans rubber padding over the screw holes

Again its because I have it vertical instead of bending down from the mobo slot and the heat gets dispersed straight up to the fans...which are sucking air IN from before I had such a monster...I need to flip them around and just haven't hahaha.

In the case of a laptop, removing the battery and running off the plug is the best method to avoid heat anywhere in the system, if you can't do that those raised laptop stands with fans actually do wonders...works for playstation too lol.

I've killed quite a few honestly, repaired a few too. I have that same model as backup parts aside from the mobo, just too lazy to fix it since I never use it anymore...I was a much more hardcore gamer in that era, I used to go on drunken benders for 3 days and play pretty much straight through.

It helped that Assassins Creed didn't suck ass, that game HAD a way of keeping me moving from objective to objective with no real pause to even get bored inbetween...hopefully the latest one will go back to that style but Idk if i'll go back to that mindstate even if it did

but...anyways, thats not why I dropped in.
